Interesting, Its given me some ideas. Chance you'll release this circle?
I had a model made for me for a Garrysmod Roleplay server. Stalker RP to be exact, I don't have a picture of the model properly yet since I forgot to take one, but I have a similar looking model.

Basically, the guy who made this for me, splices models together and what not and makes new models, it's a pretty good idea to be honest and means it can be quick but effective. I was wondering if anyone could model/texure it custom, rather than being re-used models and textures.
I paid the guy £40 to do it, which seems pretty decent for the outcome. You can find some of his other models on here, http://taconbanana.com/vb/showthread.php?33001-S-T-A-L-K-E-R-Donation-Model-List where you can see some of the parts he's taken and placed onto the one I use.
(will add a proper photo later)

Yeah and I think the model is pretty nice through him hacking but I could see it being amazing with custom textures/models and what not. Would anyone be willing to do it? For pay even?

So you mean from scratch? I doubt anyone is going to take up the task for a Garrysmod server unless you were paying enough to pay for rent and groceries for the next couple of months.
I don't really mean from scratch, more like editing the model as it is at the moment, but adding custom textures for things and maybe remodelling some things.
I dunno, just a thought anyway, no point if it's going to take ages.

for a hacked together RP model? lol

Don't see anyone else doing it anywhere and it was uploaded to the server and sorted out and what not.
I love the server too and character, so it was worth it, though obviously expensive.

We generally refer to models like these as perskins. Though generally speaking most people do them for themselves and privately. That said I think part of your fee is actually having the model on the server, since I doubt they'd let anyone just upload a model there and set it up with no fee.
*Snip, not so relevant/I misread.*
I don't see too much wrong with your model, considering that it's hacked from completely different games, but it'll definitely be a lot harder to make a new model from scratch. You could probably get a higher quality model but even then I could see that it would still be a model hack.

You might want to take some edges off that circle, it looks too high poly for Source.

Only real thing of interest for this thread is that it's my first from scratch working ragdoll.

Okay I'm not sure if this is the right place for a request, but this of all places is where facepunch's modelling talent shines the most.I'm looking for a modeler for my portal 2 mod Repercussions.I'm trying to create the most custom content I can myself, but modeling is one of my biggest weaknesses and the development progress is really dependent on it.If anyone's interested, please give me a shout trough a pm.Thanks.

Kind of looks like what the aliens from from Serious Sam 3 would look like.

you should try to get the level of detail that's in the front of those engines on the whole piece. it looks great, awesome silhouette. it'll help to break up the forms to make it look more like it was constructed in pieces, and seams and shit make it look more interesting and detailed. I don't know what you have planned for it but that's what i'd recommend. Also, I don't know how much you're working from a concept or if you are at all, but I think the front feels a little too light compared to how heavy the engines make it feel. I don't know if that makes sense to you, but basically I mean sense of weight that shapes give the impression of. it's dope as fuck so far!

The image is called "archon" which is a protoss unit.

the front part of the engine is a floater already, so are the things sticking out of the front. The reason why I didn't add more surface details was that I wanted to try to add them using nDo2, it would be a lot faster than making it with actual geometry and I didn't have that much time on it (just the night to make HP, LP, UV and a test bake)
Here is the concept I used: [t]http://files.1337upload.net/vehicle1_frame.jpg[/t]
Okay, now that bike is WICKED. I love the seat and the engines, and the cowling just looks awsome. My suggestion would be to put some kind of foot rest in front of the engines, as well as a crotch rocket-esk headlight and windscreen assembly. Maybe you could also put some kind of conard array of control surfaces in front of it, like some of the swoop bikes and the Barq speeder of Starwars. That might help balance out the overall appearance of the vehicle, as well as add some additional realism. Another suggestion would be landing skids underneath, as well as maybe another set of control fins on the engine pods themselves, both to add flare and additional character.
And now for mine. Any thoughts?

I am NOT going to do any particle work on this sadly.

Almost finished with the exception of the ironsight.
That looks cool but I think you could do something a little more with the grip, it looks pretty uncomfortable to hold.
It's taken me days to get the model where I want it but I'm finally happy with it. Finished up the body and glass today, nacelles hopefully tomorrow. I ended up going full 2048 so I could get all the re-entry scorch marks I wanted looking good.

Then I just need to rig it to a skeleton and make some simple animations
