So this is my first attempt at UV-ing and texturing models! I made a sword and a bow. The sword is kinda shitty but I think the bow looks pretty good :rolleye:

Actually you pretty much nailed it on the head with the Type 6/work bee references. I wan't looking at anything in particular when I made it, but the target is to conform to the containers I made a while back. The shape of the type 6 pretty much lends itself to the form factor perfectly, and after getting the basic shape down, there was no way I could make something even remotely aerodynamic that didn't look like the type 6.

There was a HL1 shotgun model that did that, though there was only half of the model made as the right side of the v_ was never seen by the player, but that gun had more than 8000 tri due to that if I recall.

They are engraved, it's a combo of shit resolution and compression I guess
Alright guys, so I did a quick Mock-up model to do a test. You see, I'm trying to design an SUV that would fit into the setting of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, with a futuristic touch to the design. My question to you is, does this look like it could be in that world? I know, it's a little rusty. Needs smoothing/detail work done, etc. etc. All I'm asking is if I've got the overall "feel" right for that world, and if not, what should I do to nail that vibe? Comments and Criticism please.

The front window area looks pretty awkward, that could use a little smoothing. Also, the sides don't match the curved geometry present in the side view.
maybe make the headlights/radiator grill flush with the curvature instead of being indented like that

Thanks, I'll be working on that, though for the sides I want to keep the big "Slab-sided" look. I'm going for something that resembles this concept:

Don't worry, I have new rims planned out for this thing. Those are just old test rims that you see there. Placeholders. I do have access to the rims in that screenshot, though I plan on fabricating new six-spoke-plate ones just for the truck.

I might texture it and put on some shaders later. Also, the ground is set to morph as the tracks drive across it, and the tracks are set to morph and move with the ground, instead of plowing right through it.
