Yeah, models are generally considered "open for reskinning" unless you specifically ask people not to. And it's not like people don't give credit for it.

I personal is very open when it re skinning some models because i haven't done it from scratch ore just made a rig to it. But i have a hand full models i have model by hand that is soon release. Just ask. A pm is not so hard to do. Ore just google me.

I for one always give credit, and I always ask before reskinning a custom model (I don't bother asking over reskins of ports, as the porter has no real claim to the model). Yeah, there's a few assholes that don't credit, but trust me, we frown upon not crediting models around here.

Say WHY the model is ghastly, what exactly makes it look wrong. Point to spots that are rigged to the wrong bone; point to faces that aren't smoothed properly; point to areas of the texture that are stretched; but don't just say "op sucks kill self".

Heheh, I was about to say something similar to that. Chell sure isn't pretty.
This model needs some work of course. The textures look a bit awkward in some areas and the rigging on the skirt is messed up as others have said. Jiggleboning the skirt and hair (if that hasn't been done already) would probably be a great idea. However, I've personally never seen 3D anime pulled off without it coming out looking strange. Maybe if Source had some shaders that would help make it look right. Cell shading can only do so much.
Anyway, it's a silly anime model, but so what? I don't see the reason for people to complain about them being around since it's not like you're being forced to use it. Gmod attracts plenty of different people who can mod, and they're bound to port shit related to their interests, so it's only natural for things like this to be released.
