well if anyone wants to take a crack at it. PM me and i'll post up where to download the model from.
I think you should do that just so people will know.
I'll do that.
I just looked at the thread, looking great! Keep up the good work!
any new news?
any new news?
Model's out, have to ask her if you really want the model, No textures on the model, no one seems to really want to put a texture on the model, Modeller is too busy to work on putting a texture on the model, that's all.
I'll do it.
Sorry guys, I'll post up the link today. Edit: And here it is http://www.4shared.com/file/38906594/3e9a785e/Assault_Krystal.html?dirPwdVerified=dd7ee804
any new updates?
I've been trying, but it looks awful. It's just a big mish-mash of carbon fiber and snake skin tinted blue. I'll keep at it though. The only way I can get better is by doing it. Anything I should know about the character for when I continue? The only time I saw her was in the Zelda style Starfox game.
well I have a skin but it's just her, no cloths. Until the suit comes on Daz I can do nothing.
any update?
soon as i can get a hold of him i am going ask boots to do it. if he will.
Hmmm, cool model. Is this gonna be clothed or something? For comics and movies and all that jazz.
yes, but we need it skined and compiled.
Good. Because it Jack Thompson saw all these nude models in gmod today, he'd be having a field day, spouting garbage like "It's a sex simulator!" and "The players control the speed of movement and sizes of penusses!". Hopefully, the Anonymous of 4chan will assasinate him before he spouts that total gar-bitch...
any updates as of yet?
no, if i can get some free time, I will try to skin the model. I been reading up on how to use blender.
Hope it's epic, man. And don't let anyone get you down.
I wish i could help
On a related note, DAZ Studio recently gained level-of-detail and sub-d features, so this weekend I created an LOD mesh for use in that application. I'll include it in the upcoming update to the Krystal base files. Still too high-res for use in Garry's Mod, of course, but since this thread has provided me some amusement, I thought I'd give you fellows advance notice.
VERY hi-res. And explicit. Also, the non-nude skin should have those nipples edited out. It'd be embarrassing for them to peek through the red T-shirt or purple jumpsuit.
VERY hi-res.
For real-time applications, certainly, but we never expected anyone to run her through the Source engine. Most Poser and Studio figures these days are around 30000-70000 polys.
And explicit. Also, the non-nude skin should have those nipples edited out.
What non-nude skin? CharleyFox modeled her without genitalia, and I included a vertex morph to smooth over the nipples if necessary.
It'd be embarrassing for them to peek through the red T-shirt or purple jumpsuit.
If I've modeled her clothes properly, there should be no discernable poke-through on the bodysuit, t-shirt, vest, jacket, bikini, or other tops.
Well I've been working with Krystal for a little while now, and it was an exercise in pain and torture...
:q: I like where this is going :v:
:q: I like where this is going :v:
I see what you implied there... And I do not want the fact of a furry being tortured echoing through my mind while painting a room. :vomit:
The custom model is great. It looks awesome. But, did the original rip have a texture to go with it? I can rig it to the female animations. I can probably fix the skin. But I cannot really want to do much without the texture. Good luck, I always liked crystal. My personal favorite was Falco. :)
I never played the series. I preferred Sonic games, personally.
But, did the original rip have a texture to go with it? I can rig it to the female animations.
Does this qualify as a rip? There wasn't even any need to export from Poser ... the original files are in Wavefront .obj format, after all. And yes, there are textures. But considering the changes that Hironaga made to the mesh, I doubt that the original UV-mapping remains intact. Here's a pic of Krystal with texture ... and to avoid offending the puritanical sensibilities of Horus, I'll have her wear something a tad less revealing: The burqa is at the cleaners.
That... Is truly awesome. Do want. Also, it reminds me of Samus Aran...
That... Is truly awesome. Do want.
Glad you like it. The bodysuit and goggles-which-do-nothing will be in the next clothing pack, which I'm planning for simultaneous release with the updated base files. Among other things, this little number will be included in the pack, also ... ... somewhat more revealing, I'll admit, but at least it provides a better view of CharleyFox's texture.
Also, it reminds me of Samus Aran...
Come to think of it, those are Samus' colours, aren't they? I was going for more of an Iron Man effect, though. The movie trailers have me looking forward to the premiere. I'd even modeled some armour pieces earlier this week while practicing with Hexagon's extrusion and edge tools.
