Too bad I would have loved to something like "Ops" in the model.
Other than 3 drydocks or shipyards or whatever you want to call them, there will be no space station related content whatsoever in this pack.
More Info:
I wasnt going to put DS9 or K7 in the pack because as models, I feel they will be mostly useless as anything other than scenery.
I only have the interior for DS9, both ops and the promenade. They were ripped from 'DS9: The Fallen' and very accurately resemble to the tv show even though they are lower poly.
I checked out DS9 in 'Star Trek: Online' when I was in the beta, but it was so 'off' that I could barely tell I was on the promenade. I couldnt find ops either.
I understand it had to be changed to fit the futuristic time period of the mmo, but I boldly wager that everyone, everywhere, ever, would prefer 'The Fallen''s promenade to 'ST:O''s after comparing them side-by-side.
The DS9 model I have [I]may[/I] one day be hollowed out and integrated into a map as it's central feature. Ops, promenade, Halls, elevators, docking rings, etc. It would be a large undertaking but when I have free time in the future, this is the next thing I want to do after this ship pack. This will likely never happen with K7 because the only K7 interior I know of is in Star Trek Online, and looks nothing like the colorful 60's set. It looks like an unpainted metal bulkhead or a gymnasium or something. No thanks lazy cryptic.
Edit: God damn this is embarassingly contradictory to everything I just wrote, but typing this just made me realize that since I'll never make a K-7 map, but posess the model, I might as well throw it in the pack with a few holes cut into it's exterior for people to add a modular interior comprised of space build props.
Because a hollow physics mesh would be very time consuming to make, I would prefer to not make one at all. Players could just place invisible blast doors around it to more flexibly keep people and ships from flying/falling through the visible hull, but probably be more costly to both systems and bandwidth overhead in multiplayer.
Thoughts?
I like the idea of having DS9 as a map.
If you need any help with that, I would love to try.

there was a svn shuttle pack that had lua warp cores crates and lots of star trek stuff but i'm not sure it's still working mind you i never got the bloody thing to work

I reinstalled Elite Force 1 and saw this picture during installation.

I thought to myself "holy shit, thats the level I found the Bird of Prey bridge in... I bet you theres a Constitution bridge in there too!"
I noclipped thoroughly throughout every 'Scavenger' campaign map but found nothing resembling a constitution bridge, only this crappy 'scavenged' version.

I also found a very nice sickbay, but I don't think it would provide much fun in Garry's mod. I just thought I'd share the tragic results of my quest with you all. No bridge, no 'Uncharred' shuttle skin, and no reason for engineering (because theres no bridge).

1. I've never seen a single episode of any Stargate series, only 1 Stargate movie. (it took place on some Egypt planet or something) I have no desire to work on anything from a series I know nothing about.
2. I'm only porting official Star Trek game content at the moment. The custom content you posted is neither official nor Star Trek, so even if [I]you[/I] did all the work I couldn't add it. I ported some Star Wars content but I'll have to post separately for this same reason.
3. I'm making large scale ships with bridges. Where would you get a stargate bridge anyways? A Stargate game perhaps? If there are any recent Stargate games, you might as well rip the official models from there instead of some mod.
It's totally possible but very time consuming, so all I can do is point you in the right direction. Ripping and porting static props is fairly easy in general though.
Step 1: Download & install 3DS Max 9
Step 2: Download & install 3DRipperDX, and rip something (Only works on Directx 8 and 9 games)
Step 3: Import ripped content into 3DS Max 9
Get this far and I'll help you further

also apwn have you tryed the expansion packs for the first game there maybe more ship bridges in one of the two expansion packs maybe even some more bridges :3

This pack is definitely going to need a good logo like this for the main page, so a screen shot of [I]all[/I] the ships can be in one of the other picture slots. After all, it will be #1 for at least 6 months =P
Also, the official name is [quote]ApwnInTheDark's Starship Pack[/quote]. I'm not trying to nitpick, but that's going to be it's text title and it will look funny if they don't match. Also, you might want to experiment with Star Trek fonts. I think that might complete the authentic/commercial look you already have going. Way to go though.
Update: The Bird of Prey is fully textured and I've completed half of its physics model. It's a bit tougher due to its shape but its getting there. The rear section (engines?) will be a separate prop which can be raised and lowered via hydraulic - a shuttlebay door. The door will also have garage texture on the inside so it will look much cooler to people on the inside.
I'm ridiculously close to being finished with this pack. At this point, its just a matter of finishing Enterprise-E (mandatory) and redoing the Type 6 and Type 9 shuttles (not sure yet)
Edit: Also, you should save the final picture at a resolution with the same aspect ratio as the thumbnails on the front page of GarrysMod.org. That way, when the website resizes it, nothing gets cropped and everything is visible in the thumbnail. Yea your central image shrinks, but you will be able to add more to the sides, like super wide screen. I just checked the front page and not 1 single uploader took this into account, so their thumbnails are all cropped. (See MadCows Weapons 3.0)
The original thumbnail dimensions for a GarrysMod.org download are 345x104 so you should use one of these resolutions for the cover image. (Same aspect)

apwn can't add the DS9 and Voyager skins because he never made them so that won't be happening ever you'll just have to download them by them self.

About props:
Currently the only prop is a very large, animated, explosive photon torpedo. Its meant to be spawn-launched from large ships.
I was thinking of throwing in the Klingon BatLeth from Elite Force 2. However, since I don't know how to LUA script SWEPS, wire entities, or anything else for that matter, it could only be a prop at this point. You could still hang it on the walls of the bird of prey for decoration though? lol
I'd intend to eventually learn to script, but learning it well enough in time to impliment scripted entities into this pack would either seriously delay it's release and/or be buggy ameteur crap. Seeing 8 versions of every SWEP on GarrysMod.org is not very reassuring. =/
apwn you should do some of the weapons from elite force 1 and 2 so you get a mix of klingon/romulan/federation weapons to hang up on your ship lol and also for pose's
I just finished the Bat'leth. I dont know if I want to do any other weapons because the view models, by design, are missing geometry on sides the player shouldnt see.
For instance, I had to replace the entire bottom half of the Bat'leth because as an equipped weapon, you only ever see the top. Also, 1/3 of the grips were missing. I got lucky with the Bat'leth but it was still a pain in the ass to repair the missing geometry.
This is not any form of culling, the models were literally designed this way.I [I]could[/I] use the pickup model but the view models are so much higher quality.
Either I use crappy models, or I use high quality models that need tons of work. Either way its not good so I'm drawing the line at the Bat'leth, sorry. Also, I cant script SWEPS so I'll leave the task of porting Star Trek weapons to the pros.

Basically, 'ApwnInTheDark's Starship Pack' is the name of the addons directory which everything is being organized into and which people will see when they spawn things.
I [I]could[/I] change the name, but I'd have to edit hundreds of lines inside the textures' .vmt files and recompile everything.

I see the picture and read the descriptions but...I STILL dont know why tf klingons would turn their cargo bay into sea world.

I thought about it but wasnt too sure what would be considered useful, other than an engineering room, maybe a hallway or 2, and a few loose nacelles. This would obviously add to my workload but I dont mind if people would use them.
I havent done any Cardassian or Dominion ships for 2 reasons. I didnt like the ship models I found very much, and I was unable to find any bridges for them.
