thats what i did and nothing no fireing or anything.. anyone have and codeing expierience? we should make a list of things and have someone code it maybe thesniper9 will model
They aren't finished yet, as I've said a number of times. They don't group reliably yet, and even when they do they won't fire correctly. They work better individually at the moment. In the end, they will work just like the ones on the show though. They do have an automatic mode. If you don't specify an X, Y and Z co-ordinate for them to attack then they'll auto-target the nearest hostile NPC or player that isn't its owner. If you have a prop protection script installed, they'll also target the nearest prop that isn't owned by you. However, as I said, the AG-3s aren't finished yet so this auto-targetting mode may not work 100% correctly. However, I have noticed that they do slowly drop.. I have no idea why unfortunately. It shouldn't be a problem though, as typically they are used in space where they don't suffer this problem.
@PyroSpirt yea,i noticed all the their not finished just thought youd like a update of ingame use is all,So far i've noticed if you take 3-5 of them,smart weld them together and set the same World XYZ's for each from the beacon sensor then equipt them with wire hoverballs that have a wire input for just hover,I've been able to make them go to the target then hover using the hover balls it keeps it from dropping and makes it a quite steady weapons platform however i have also noticed that once the target is destroyed my Gmod freezes and then crash's,not sure if its the addon or if its another addon,lol
PyroSpirit all of the custom models for the gate overloader, the naquadah bomb and the dakara weapon appear as an error, I have the lastest svn and as far as I know I installed it correctly... Could someone help me or tell me what is going on? please My apologizes if this has already been mentioned.

It's like something might be wrong with the lua files associated with the models...

It's like something might be wrong with the lua files associated with the models...[/QUOTE] i didnt have a problem,mine worked and my gate blew up along with the naq bomb,lol try re-downloading the AG-3 sat from the SVN n delete the AG-3 sat folder u have in your addons,also make sure that the folder containing the AG-3 sat has a info.txt file in their...i've come across that problem in the past,other then that i cant think of anything else that would cause a problem id try re-downloading from the SVN n then if that doesnt work,see if the super weapon n all work without the AG-3 sat addon installed
btw when i said they dont work i meant at all.. even with just one.. they wont acept power or anything and when you wire a button to fire nothing happens

i get no power from zpms to the satalite... dxm could you show me a tutorial or something of how you wired it up?

thanks dxm765,, yea i have all of those infact i have a ton of addons.. i could of swore i saw an lua error when i tried to get it to work not sure it went away really fast.. but when i wired up power nothing like power wasnt getting to it

i will probably have to delete gmod and reload everything
The AG-3s use the same RD code as the stargate addon, so if things like the drone launcher work for you, so should this. Do you have any similar trouble with energy-consuming entities from the stargate addon? By the way, the trouble you saw with its auto-targetting in that video is probably due to the number of things welded to it. I found that it finds it harder and harder to turn properly as you add things.. will have to sort that out. I added a couple of big solar panels to either side for power and it was practically immobilized - not ideal for a weapons satellite! Did some messing around,only problem with the above idea i quoted is that the LS links break :( soooo i made the satellite use a radio link for the GPS cords and the numpad input/output thing, then attached 2 ZPMS and it worked ok not as great as id like but nothings perfect,then i decided to put a target inside the stargate shield and the shield did protect the target but the target did take little damage. Then i tested it and used a laser point receiver a little more accurate....but still the satellites had trouble getting their and staying above said target.
Depending on the damage system you're using, the target may take some damage even within a shield. This is because some damage systems allow heat damage to penetrate the shield, but this is typically short-ranged so using a larger shield usually protects against it. The AG-3s are unable to move to engage a target, this is by design - if you want them to do this, you have to do it yourself. They will only turn to engage a target - remember, they are satellites and so generally remain in one place.

looking awesome so far, I just wish there was a FIRE button as well as arm so I could manually fire it.

Guys they slowly fall because the objects you attach to them have mass and are thus affected by gravity. The satellites themselves are not affected by gravity. [editline]01:19PM[/editline] Pyrospirit do you mind if i write some new effects for it?

I really don't have the time to work on SGE at the moment, and probably won't have until after June I'm afraid (Uni and personal commitments). DrFattyJr, you're welcome to finish them off if you get time.
