Ohh, that is amazing. At long last, a full model.
Alright, I am going to send in in .OBJ tho, the .rip files are usually scattered.
Alright, thanks.
so your game was broken all the time?
Ohh, that is amazing. At long last, a full model.
so your game was broken all the time?
Of course. Borked lightning, glitchy HUD, massive lag, etc. It's probably because I'm running it on Windows 8.
could be V-Sync, I remember other games and pcs having issues with that option, that's why I never turn it on.
Anyway, how do I make the trainer work?
could be V-Sync, I remember other games and pcs having issues with that option, that's why I never turn it on.
I've tried with vsync on and off, makes no difference.
Open the trainer first, then run the game. Press Home to activate it, then select a waypoint on the map and press Page Up twice. Use Page Down in case it borks. Be sure to turn on Infinite Health or else you will die when you land.
The program should come with a readme too.

K, also Sleeping Dogs is a really glitchy game, I was playing it and my game stopped doing anything when I hit a certain point, but the GUI and Shift-Tab still worked.
[editline]4th August 2013[/editline]
Also, the trainer doesn't seem to want to work with my game.
Also, the trainer doesn't seem to want to work with my game.
Are you getting the correct version?
Are you getting the correct version?
Probably not.
Probably not.
Try to find the correct one. Come on man, you're almost the only person that can actually do these, don't give up now.
Try to find the correct one. Come on man, you're almost the only person that can actually do these, don't give up now.
I found a trainer that matched my version but it didn't work
uuuuuuuuuuuggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh
But on the UV map of Wei Shen, I can't complete it, I was lucky to even (mostly) UV the head right.
Though I wished my 3DRipperDX worked on it, I might of been able to get the UVs intact. (Though it would of ripped at an angle and would be fucked forever, Like my Saints Row The Third rips)
[editline]4th August 2013[/editline]
Maybe you can save your game there and send me the save?
Darn. Has anyone else tried this? Honestly I'm willing to pay for a decent rip.
Maybe you can save your game there and send me the save?
Won't work, every time you open the game you spawn inside your house.
EDIT: actually you don't really need to mess with any of that. The idle poses are pretty t-like already.
[t]http://puu.sh/3T7fh.jpg[/t]
So I've been messing around with Ninja Ripper and Sleeping Dogs.
Some stuff actually does rip with UV Mapping. (It seems only buildings...)
What a shame.
That was ripped with 3D Ripper DX, which is quite a lot shittier than ninja ripper and doesn't rip in t-pose.
Actually, 3D Ripper DX is only for DX6, DX7, DX8, and DX9, while Sleeping Dogs is a DX10 and DX11 game.
He also states he ripped it with Ninja Ripper and re-UV'd it.
Wait, so only the buildings come with UVs? That's just bizarre.
Do you see this shit? I mean seriously, where are his arms?! This happens to nearly every single model, and often times it's not just the arms.
Why is this happening only to me? Is it just my computer or what? I just don't get it.
whoah calm down dude i'm sure its just a error.did you try to turn on face back culling because it shows the hidden parts.
Do you see this shit? Maybe graphic card drivers?
Maybe Windows 8 has a issue with Sleeping Dogs?
what windows do you have?
Maybe graphic card drivers?
Maybe Windows 8 has a issue with Sleeping Dogs?
I'm pretty sure that's why. Like I've stated many times it's utterly broken on Windows 8.
Only thing left to do now is bribe/beg one of you four to get them. Rather pathetic.
In the mean time, I'm going to practice UV mapping heads. (at least they rip properly)
Fully Re-UVed Police crusier. You'll need to get the other textures from SergerantJoe
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l75il0tu2s1yrzq/policecruiser.7z Includes .obj and .fbx
It's not perfect, but better than nothing.
Here, have a crappy 3DS max render.

This just in: Ninja Ripper fucks the actual UVs, but retains the seams!

Hopefully this new revelation will make the UV process a whole lot easier.

Tho it would take forever to rip an actual 100% working UV, and we would probably still have to UV map it when it has broken it.

Fully rigged! Also includes attachments for all the lights and exhaust pipes. Get the download in the refurbished OP!

Sure the UV isn't in another UV ID?
Sure the UV isn't in another UV ID?
I've tried every single possible combination of numbers from 0-50, it's just not there.
But here, try it yourself. I probably overlooked something really obvious.
(I don't have the files for that exact model anymore, but it happens with all of them)
I took a look at your model, and as u said it seems that during the ripping process, the vertex number of the uv coordinates were fucked up. Unfortunately the only method i know to rebuilt the correct uvs is to transfer the vertex number from another version of the same model with the correct vertex numbers ( this is not your case), or recreate them using the seams as track ( quite easy). The main iusse is the last passage..u have to stretch the new UV map in the right way to correctly fit in corrent texture.

But then again, it may be just my computer. It borks meshes, so there's a high chance it breaks UVs too.
If someone else actually tried to rip from this game the UV maps may be preserved.

Don't you remember, I can't rip UVs either.
Don't you remember, I can't rip UVs either.
Oh yeah, I forgot. But have you checked all the possible combinations? Auto-detect almost never works.
Or just send me the files and I can go through them myself.

I'll check it later.
but it really seems the UV is just destoryed.
it really seems the UV is just destoryed.
Even if it is, at least the seams are intact. Heck, if I had a character model in t-pose I could UV it myself.
But unfortunately I don't, I need to ask you guys for those.
