Battlefield 3 - Medal of Honor Warfighter (Tutorial 1 - Textures)

One question: to rip the geometry and textures in the highest quality possible, do I need to have in the game settings texture quality and meshes at max?
doesnt matter what settings you have
i play BF3 on all low and i get the best results when ripping
Really? Because the texture size is sometimes affected (I think) When playing on lower settings I got some textures in 1024x1024 while on high settings I ripped them as 2048x2048
regardless of the resolution, you only must setting ultra quality of the texture in options.
If you are far of the model to capture, your texture will be low res.
Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Looking forward to the next parts. :)
Sorry to bump the thread again but Whats the setup for ninja ripper?, because i run the GPA monitor on MOH:W but there's just a black screen and it crashes

I don`t think you can run both the GPA and NR simultaneously...

Ah i see, so what would be the procedure to obtain the meshes then? with ninjaripper?
make sure GPA is not running and launch NR with d3d11wrapper mode, launch game, hit F10 done.
well i've managed to get ninja ripper working but unfortunately on D3D11 Wrapper it's only capturing textures

Try to use this to bypass Origin and launch bf3.exe with a -sp parameter. Also delete the dx11 file from the Battlefield directory. Remember to create a backup of the .par file.

the .par thing didn't even do a damn thing, it still needed origin to play the game, -sp didn't do much either, deleting the dx11 file didn't do anything either lol, i'm outta options here

Did you use intruder mode?
Edit:
yeah, place the .par file in the bf3 directory. I had the same problem. Do everything above, then enable origin overlay again. Then disable it if it doesn't work. Post your log file if you want.

Aha!, i've managed to rip a scene!, i updated my .par files with the ones on the website and apparently it worked somehow, i was wondering also, is there a code for correct UVW'S for moh:w?

Elite Phazon
I suggest you use external sources like www.pastebin.com for log pasting and or even better start a your own thread on the matter. ;]
Thank you.

Select manual
I created a autohotkey makro for finding uv maps. Basically:
U1
V2
U2
V3
And so on. You'll eventually get it. It's often 12/13 or 22/23. Just try until you get it right.
sorry to revive this old thread. i've got to ask if theres a way to rip models on multiplayer maps aswell, intruder mode won't work and dx11 mode will only capture textures. i'm remaking the ziba tower in source and need the models from the map.
Edit: So i managed to bypass Origin but the battle log gets messed up, when I click "join server" nothing happens. Also how dangerous is Ninjaripper? There are no non-PB servers for Zibatower

That's Battlelog without CSS. Create a user.cfg with the line "RenderDevice.Dx11Enable 0" in the Battlefield 3 directory. Now run Ninjaripper in dx10 mode and join a server like you normally would.
When I forgot to delete the dx10 dll file, I got kicked by punkbuster with an error message that was telling me about some dx overlay. So it should be safe. You will get kicked though.
That way it doesn't want to capture anything with F10 only Textures (F9)
Edit: It managed to rip when I re-enabled origin overlay, but bf3 crashes after capturing... welp atleast its ripping something :) thanks.

Someday somebody WILL rip those models, but it requires a lot of work with that (like you said, it has millions of textures in one weapon).
Look at all the parts of the AK-103 Bullpup (without counting the attachments), is just a pain in the ass.

The Larue OBR Uses 7 different textures and only 3 belong only to the Larue OBR.
The other 4(stock,pistol grip, magazine, etc.) are used by other weapons so there would be no need to re-rip them after you got them once.
Hello, how do I use Ninja Ripper in Battlefield 3 Multiplayer? Using the modded "bf3.par" and the "-sp" argument I successfully ripped a Singleplayer scene and with "D3D11 Wrapper => RUN => Battlelog website => Join Server" I could only rip textures but not meshes.
you got a black screen?

works fine for me

How you can rip that using Ninja Ripper ? I have been tried using Ninja Ripper too on Medal Of Honor Warfighter mission "Hot Pursuit" and "Hello and Dubai", but the game always minimized window and continued again ( for those mission )... When the game plays, I can't rip the textures... How do you fix that minimized window problem ?? So, I can use Ninja Ripper on these mission, since all the missions except those mission, is can rip by Ninja Ripper clearly... Please help me luxox_18... Only you can rip driving mission in MOH Warfighter based on your posted screenshot...
