Are you running the SDK Beta? It's a known problem.
No, I am not. I was at one point but deleted local content and installed the regular version. I am going to unwrap this bad boy and texture it. Maybe somebody will help me solve this compileing problem meanwhile.
It needs to have a UV to export though...
I understand that.
The above problem was with a VERY simply model. I am trying to figure out the workflow before attempting this beast. On my test is did a simply cylindrical mapping. On the ambulance I am unwrapping manually. Thanks for your help.
The problem where the compiler doesn't like the collision model line is caused by the SDK.
I had it too, no idea to fix, but reinstalling the SDK seemed to work.
Humm.. ok I will reinstall SDK and see if that works.
Thanks.

I get this when I get compile.
Does the filepath exist?
I fixed it, but when I spawn it in Gmod, I get a "prop_effect: error mins/max" error.
Wow.. this is simply AMAZING how impossible this is.
I have tried everything under the book.
I can get it to compile by commenting out the collision line.
I might just have to go that way and use no clip brushes to mimic the collision.
The collision line thing is caused by your SDK. I have no idea how to fix it, but reinstalling the SDK fixed it for me.
No such luck. I might have to make my collisions outta noclip brushes. Now lets just hope the animations stick.
The animations will stick.
I was curious how I can get my tutorial pinned?
If Hezzy or Garry think it's good, they'll make it a sticky. Very unlikely to happen.

Yeah refresh SDK content worked when I had that DLL missing
Can someone pls help me. I try 3 compilers but everytime:
1. Read http://www.valve-erc.com/srcsdk/faq.html#NoGameDir
2. Run vconfig to specify which game you're working on.
3. Add -game <path> on the command line where <path> is the directory that gameinfo.txt is in.
Where i must type -game <path>???
Run Source SDK and HLMV...
can someone tell me how to fix this problem in GUI Studio MDL (v2.2)?
*ERROR* EP1 tools path is not valid - use "Config" then "Set EP1 Tools Path..." from the menu to set it.
*ERROR* Orange Box tools path is not valid - use "Config" then "Set EP1 Tools Path..." from the menu to set it.
....when I try to set EP1/orangebox patch (sourcesdk/bin/ep1/bin) I get this two errors:
The "studiomdl.exe" file could not be found in the folder specified.
The "gameconfig.txt" file could not be found in the folder specified.
...they are there, but program don't see them :( what should I fix?

Sorry for the bump, but whenever I try to click any of the links it gives me a "Not Found-The requested URL /Flashid/tutorial.html was not found on this server." thing. I really need this so I can get my NerfGun in-game, try to upload it again or something.
Oh yeah, fixing.
New problem, my ep1/bin folder doesn't have GameConfig.txt. HOW TO FIX?
:(

Huh? :raise:
I heard you must compile stuff in the new source engine with a .bat file... Is this true? Because i had problems compiling for css.
