This one was in the krogan pack, but only in blue as I remember.
Hey guys there's a problem.
FemShep's FaceFX too bad. Smile not correct and other flexes, so i'm gonna fix it, but it'll take time. I'm so sorry. Release upcoming at next week.
"Sorry for my bad English."

It's super easy to recolor.
Hi all, apologize if this question has been asked before but I'm not able to use the search right now.
I've been messing around with the models for mass effect 3 and I've noticed that the specular map provided for each item/character is actually 3 seperate maps contained in the RGB channels. Near as I can tell, I'm pretty sure the Green channel is the actual specular map, but what are the other two. Glossiness? AO? And if so, which is which?

Take your time mate.
I know first-hand how frustrating building face-poses can be, because I've tried my own hand at it some time past.
I would much rather you take a few extra days - hell, weeks even - to get the model to the best possible quality you can, rather than rush it out and release it with bad flexes.

The other two are spec and shadow respectively. AO isn't "officially" supported for ME.

Thanks, i'm actually not working in source though, so that's not a problem. It's all arch and design mental ray materials.
so basically:
Red = Specular
Green = Lightmap
Blue = Shadowmap
That right? Not sure yet how to get the best render in max yet then....but it's a start.
Yep.

Blasphemy!
Greetings,
I've been away for the past few months so I apologize if I'm asking about something that's already been released and just wasting people's time but,
has anyone updated the humans with Mass Effect 3 armors and casual clothes? I've been looking around and couldn't find anything but the Mass Effect 1 casuals.

Military casuals? Cause the actual casual clothing asnt changed since ME1. Someone headhacked an HL2 civ onto the N7 hoodie though and then theres Hackett and Anderson in their non-armoured clothing.. and we do have male shep.

sorry for the slight confusion. yes the military casuals. I've seen an asari pack with them so i figured there'd be a human pack with them also.

Nope. There wasn't any human pack released. Only asari.
But maybe someone working on this pack.
I guess I can take a look at it when I get the time (doubtful, since New Zealand). I can send people all my project files for the asari ones if they want to make a human casual pack if credits are given to the correct persons.
Just poppin' in to to remark that my Mass Effect spawnlists have been updated to the present day. Includes stuff that was on this thread since then, stuff that wasn't, etc. Please let me know if something's missing.
Oh, instructions to make it work in GMod 13 too. Nothing brain-damaging.

Keep up the good work, modders! I'm about to start working on something big with your great models!
speaking of gmod 13 I've been meaning to ask, will all these models and props work on 13? I've been lead to believe that a lot of mods will have to be fixed when gmod gets updated.
Only LUA ever gets broken in GMod 13. All models and textures will be fine. And not speaking only of Mass Effect models, but all models. So there's nothing to fear in this thread.

Glad to see it updated,its been very useful when it comes to weapons and vehicles.
Why does everyone take a guess instead of finding out for real?
Samara uses a personal head model based on the model Rana McAnear which in turn morinth uses as well, otherwise she couldn't take samaras place in disguise.
The generic asari looks nothing like her as seen below, and the "face changer" in the faceposing can't remedy that much, especially the nose.
We're talking about morinth, not Samara.
Samara does indead use a unique head mesh. Morinth on the other hand does not. That is unless she disguises as Samara, in which case she then uses the Samara head mesh and body model.
Morinth does actually use the same head mesh as Samara throughout the game.

You can see this best when you're doing Samara's loyalty mission, during the scene where they're both holding each other back with their biotic fields while Shepard decides who to kill.
Only her outfit changes when she's disguised as Samara.
Or you can see it best when you compare two pictures :P

The only problem i think we'll have is having to upload all of it to the workshop. Personally i think the whole workshop thing is going to be a bit annoying at first, and while it will be great in the long run, it's just going to plain suck at first because so far i don't think there's any other way to put in addons for gm13. i've tried and it just doesn't work the same way.

Have you tried the "addons" folder? Because it works just fine by me.

Garry readded the old addon format (in part because a lot of folks thankfully bitched)

now all he needs to do is fix the save feature
I got bored so I decided to do this

I got lazy doing the picture editing
The eyes aren't finished, so don't complain
Textures from Jeanluc's HD mod, i'm guessing?
Also, i finally got around to actually doing the small amount of stuff needed to finish my turian props pack so expect that soon.
