6. A batarian in armor
There ought to be a batarian in armour (as well as a floating batarian head) in the eclipse mercs pack.
well if it protects you and helps you breath at the same time why make a second set of armor, the diffrence with the hoodie is it isnt armored.
But it doesnt protect them! One little scratch and they're screwed. They need to beef up their armour and use the current armour as their regular casual crap. Even the tech armour would come in handy :P
Also about Sam Traynor. I didn't take a close look at this but someone from xnalara ported her. Take a look http://hatofass.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-Female-Romance-Models-Downloadable-322995313
Since someone asked, I guess I'll post this list here too of everything/everyone I've skinned mass effect related.

You should release those. Some of them sound very intresting and useful and less ugly Allers would be an instant download for me.:v:

Their suits are compartmentalized. If they are hit by a bullet it seals off and antibiotics are flooded into the suit.
Besides, Quarians mostly use kinetic barriers to protect themselves rather than their armour.
Hi guys,
I've just registered on the Facepunch forums, so excuse my noobness if I post in the wrong place, wasn't sure if this deserved a new topic or not, so... ;
*words*
Thanks!
Whoa, the guy who did the MS comics? I would have never guessed that was Gmod, very nice! I was working on the vorcha some time ago, I might give them another go now that I know more about modeling/porting
-words words words-
I thought I saw a certain GMod glare in your comics, but I figured that you were just using a modelling program for it.
You should release those. Some of them sound very intresting and useful and less ugly Allers would be an instant download for me.:v:
I'm more curious about the protheans to be honest. As far as I know there's only one model and I'd like to see what he did with it.
Hi guys,
I've just registered on the Facepunch forums, so excuse my noobness if I post in the wrong place, wasn't sure if this deserved a new topic or not, so... ;)
For some time now I've been producing my own alternative ending to Mass Effect 3 in comic book and audiobook form - available at http://koobismo.deviantart.com - often using Gmod models as the basis of many shots used throughout the series (I'm a writer, but I'm most definitely not an artist, so basing it on actual models helps a loooot). An example of my Gmod meddling, in Episode 32: http://koobismo.deviantart.com/#/d5czn4f
I wanted to thank everyone converting these models to Gmod, especially Haxxer, Plasmid, Squiddy, FloaterTwo, cire992, NikouT, GoOr, DPFilms and Norpo (sorry if I missed anyone from the ME-GMOD crew, I was noting these down on the go) - you guys do the god's own work. ;)
I'd also like to ask whether it would also be possible to lay some requests at your doorstep. I have zero experience with converting models or using the Unreal devkit, so shoot me down if my hopes are too high. I just thought I'd ask - I'm more or less capable with carrying out the story without these, but it would cost me a lot more work, more overpainting and generally clog up my time to an extent in which a new episode would come out in 2-3 weeks, instead of my usual 1 week timespan (and probably wouldn't look as good ;)).
Now, as far as requests go... I would be particularly interested in getting these models into my eviiil hands (prioritized by relevance):
1. Commander Bailey (ME3)
2. A keeper
3. Major Kirrahe (as seen in ME3, in dark armor)
4. A vorcha
5. Haron (C-Sec turian from ME2, the one that scans you at the Citadel)
6. A batarian in armor
7. A civilian batarian
8. Specialist Samantha Traynor (ME3)
9. Brynn (ME3 Cerberus scientist) - extremely low priority, used for like 2 scenes ;)
10. Kahlee Sanders (ME3) - same deal as above
11. StarChild boy - low priority, just the kid we see in Vancouver (not the ghostly 'tard)
If anyone would be interested in helping me out or giving me any info about the availability of such models... Would be extremely grateful.
Keep doing what you're doing. :)
Thanks!
Korro has a couple of those floating around in his "I'll release these as soon as I keep not forgetting to release them pile, namely vorcha and turians. Kirrahe is actually just a custom normal map over a random fabbed salarian, you'd be able to do him via extracting the right assets over a normal armored salarian.
I've just discovered your DeviantArt channel for the first time, koobismo...
And you're telling me you're "definitely not an artist"?!?
The faces made using diffrent morphs used in mass effect cannot be ported which means that Bailey, Traynor, Brynn and Sanders can't be ported directly. (...)
http://facepunch.com/threads/1177453
Thanks, will check out the batarians. As for the custom morph faces... Shucks, that sucks. Another quick idea: I've seen people playing through the game as TIM, Mordin and a few other characters by using Gibbed's save editor (I think). Anyone knows if it would be possible to play as one of the custom morphed characters? If yeah - any tutorials on how to do that? x)
As for your list of skins, Gor Feri, I'd love to check out Balak, "Unassigned batarian merc armor", and the prothean guys. :)
(...) Also about Sam Traynor. I didn't take a close look at this but someone from xnalara ported her. Take a look http://hatofass.deviantart.com/art/Mass-Effect-Female-Romance-Models-Downloadable-322995313
For whatever reason I can't open XNALara, at all. When I open the executable it just crashes. Tried a few instructions I found on google, but nothing really helped.
Whoa, the guy who did the MS comics? I would have never guessed that was Gmod, very nice! I was working on the vorcha some time ago, I might give them another go now that I know more about modeling/porting
Well, they're not based exclusively on Gmod, but some episodes have a lot of gmod-based stuff (i.e. 32, 31, 30, 25, etc.). For example, this started as a Gmod Marauder, then was post-processed, overpainted and finally relighted:

If you would ever finish that vorcha, I would praise your name to the heavens and love ya forever. :D
I thought I saw a certain GMod glare in your comics, but I figured that you were just using a modelling program for it.
Aye, a few different tools really, but Gmod is one of them. :) Started using it because of the comics but I'm finally getting a hang of it. Other tools I use include lots of Photoshop, Poser (i.e. Jana) and Sculptris (i.e. Rachni Cruiser Shot 1 and Rachni Cruiser Shot 2).

Extracting assets and then, urm, custom map, yeaah, you lost me. x) If anyone would be willing to check this out and help me out with something like that... It would be greatly appreciated and carried in songs for eternity. x)
I've just discovered your DeviantArt channel for the first time, koobismo...

Ha, thanks. x) Yeah, I work as a game writer, never created any "finalized & published" art before - I know a thing or two about photoshop and working with a painting tablet, but I'm definitely not a pro.
I'll release my stuff in several parts, but first I need a tester or two to make sure that I don't release incomplete packs. Today that is batarians.
Any volunteers around?
Oh and the protheans aren't that spectacular really, just my ideas about how they look when they are younger or something.
[img_thumb]http://i.cubeupload.com/bIAqjP.jpg[/img_thumb]
As I said, just my idea of how they age, first they are bright color and becomes more grey/dark colored when they get older.
No idea why I made blue eyes, just one of those days I guess.
This may sound dumb, but could anyone headhack Nick's head from L4D2 onto Injured Shepard's model? It's for a test map I'm making.
Thanks.

Those are actually really cool. What might make them a bit better is some additional smaller details, like a large scar on the far left. That looks more like a dead-eye from a cut than a cataract to be honest.
Well since no one was volunteering I'll just release them, I know this isn't a thread to release things in but I don't think it's worth a new thread.

It has two "neutral" armors and blue suns! This should work even without the original merc pack except that this pack does not include blue suns armor.

I also noticed that while the batarians does not have wide faceposing abilities they do appear in source filmmaker as bones including eyebrows, nose, tongue, cheeks and several around the mouth! I wonder why that is.
Has anyone actually made any vorcha? Any links to download them?

If you need any previewing of other stuff lemme know.
I guess if you would've waited I would've had a look. Though it might've been a long wait :P I slept a lot today.
Also I figured for the protheans they'd be either like the drell since they almost look alike, or perhaps the salarians.. or maybe just the standard shade different with facepaint giving them a different look.

Now thems some stylish damn batarians!
I only wish the last eyeball would work in faceposer but I know even the originals did that 'cause it's at the bottom of the list, so no go. S'fine, I don't forsee needing to pose a bunch of sleeping batarians.
Great job on them faces, Gor Feri.
Has anyone actually made any vorcha? Any links to download them?
They are still WIP, I presume.

If those are the models I ported, the bones are most likely a leftover from the original in game rig. Mass effect uses a skeletal facial animation system in contrast to source's shapekey based one.

Do want. Although, they are not absolutely necessary, sweps and playermodels are always fun to play around with.
his viewmodels need work, ME weapons weren't meant for being that close to the camera.
I'll ask him for a release, have not talked to him yet
