Collector captain, trooper, and guns nearly done. Yay, I love Floater! :) are you having a go at those possessed collectors too?
I've not fought the collectors in MP yet and there's no seperate models or textures for posessed versions, so i don't know how to do that.
If it's just an overlay on the texture then i might do it if i can find the texture they use to overlay on them.
We already have the possessed versions though, I think Slow already did some and some with wings too :D so I guess we dont really need them
I hate to be a persistent pest about this request but I was curious if anyone was working on updating the casual humans with ME3 outfits. Another thing to add to that would be adding the Black Mesa heads as well to allow for more variety.
I've thought about doing some updated casual citizens since i already did a bunch of textures for Haxxer's ME3 asari models, but there's no way i'm using the BM:S heads.
And progress on the collectors, i finished the Praetorian.

That's a pretty good thing imo, the BMS heads were cool when they were new but now that the novelty's worn off the newness doesn't compensate for the ugliness.
I mean seriously, who has a forehead the length of their whole face?
All arguments regarding how good they are and all the variation they bring aside, the simple reason I'm not using them is because i don't like how they look.
I'm not going to put the time and effort into hacking on heads i don't think look good.
Its not like theres large selections of heads just lining up to be head hacked and besides just because you think they dont look good doesnt mean everyone thinks that way.

I was just hoping for more heads to choose from. I'm getting tired of having to use the same heads over and over again. I'd like at least one black guy head to not have a beard.

It's a skingroup, Floater, I can rip it if you need it.

Something other than HL2 citizens will be good enough. How about add something to facepose that lets us change the look of the ugly citizens faces at least? :P

A few days back, I suggested in the ports and hacks thread that someone get a load of miscellaneous heads from a ton of different games, to use as a resource. Beatthezombie (or maybe it was Gmod4Ever) liked the idea and said that he could look into it, so hopefully we'll get a followup on that at some point.

It's not a skingroup.
The way it's done is through a glowing overlay on the texture, i found the texture with the glowy parts but the way source handles glowing parts isn't really too great. I'm considering just ditching the idea.
I couldn't get it looking much better than this before i gave up on it.

I wonder how s-low managed to get that same effect on his Collector model.
He did it with a seperate mesh over the top of the original. I looked at it before i started trying, and it seems like an alright way of doing it, except if the mesh is too big then it'll look bad, and if it's too small then it'll clip, a lot.

The normal map on the neck is fucked.
I'm sure it's extracted straight from ME2.

Armoured salarians were released with the casual pack, we are missing the hooded ones though.
