Nice Avatar warrior :D fucking hot girl she is...so is Miranda :d
Sorry to get off topic, but all that were missing is Chuck (refer to TV show on NBC) Why? Because thanks to porting Miranda from Mass Effect 2, we basically now have a "Sarah Walker" to reunite with Agent Casey, who was also in Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Using the models, using the audio from the TV show, combined with the game audio, it could lead to some interesting Machinima work. Now that Miranda undressing could lead to something very interesting. Thank you whoever ported to GM so far.

I know he was Kal Regar in ME2, but EP2? Oh yeah, Varren are uploading.
Adam Baldwin voices Sheckley in the mines in EP2. I think he voices some other generic citizens too, but Sheckley's the most prominent one.

[editline]23rd January 2011[/editline] *Cough Cough* http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1052625-Mass-Effect-Varren?p=27615569#post27615569 *Cough*
Ah yes, the Varren, now whose head can we stick in that giant mouth!? Oh, and I don't know what is wrong with my brain, but after reading most of those names I have seen before from other games and film on the internet movie database website http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540125/fullcredits#cast Just who exactly coughed up the dough to get such big name stars to do ME2?

This is actually pretty easy. It's just annoying how you try to use the exact same shade of grey on each part and it comes out differently even with the same layer settings and opacities and shit, so you have to tweak it to match. Edit: Basic armor done apart from the glowy bits which i'll do once everything else is done. And the phong settings. Might do those now actually now i've got a whole set done. Edit again: I probably overdid the phong here but it looks okay to me. I'll let Haxxer tweak it to his liking tomorrow if it's not satisfactory.
Do you plan on bodygrouping different armor pieces or are you going to keep the default set.
The model Haxxer made has all of the armor peices bodygrouped except for the DLC armor i think, i'm just working my way through them starting from the default set. And if i can find the .pcc file for the DLC armor then he'll add that too probably.

Funny you should say that, Haxxer showed me this yesterday: Which i'm probably meant to tint for him whenever he uploads the textures, so i'm guessing he'll release this along with the armored shepard once they're all done. (Apologies to Haxxer if he didn't want this showing just yet)

By the way, I'm still playing arround with this But I can't port it, anyone care to do it?
I'm guessing the hat will be bodygrouped. And god damn, someone compile that miranda model for gmod :flashfap: Also: Got the rest of the torsos and one more arm set done.

And as much as I can play with that Miranda, I cant port it. You seem skilled enough, give it a shot.
I'm only good at skinning. I can't port stuff. Haxxer ported the shepard, i'm just doing the texture work. And i'm just doing everything as default N7 armor for Haxxer's release. I was considering releasing all of the .psd files so people can make their own shepards, but i'm not sure.

Post an easy tutorial on how to edit them and it will be even better!
lol You dislocated her shoulders.
I did my best, I pose on Gmod, not on rendering programs!
If i have the patience to, i'll make a tutorial for it. Although i'm not particularly great at writing tutorials.
I'm only good at skinning. I can't port stuff... i'm just doing the texture work.
I have said this to a thousand people a million times over. I feel your pain.
I'm not even that great at skinning, though :saddowns:
You could either get really good at it or branch out. I chose the former, but many choose the latter. Some lucky bastards can do both. Also, color by alpha on the shepard skin. trust me.
Any chance we get to choose colors?
The only way I'd think do do that is to use that color by tool thing with alpha maps, but the thing is, I'd need to ask Floater to skin three versions of the armor (one for the normal arm stripe, one for the stripes along the body, and the camo-shapes). Which basically means 16 arm textures, 12 leg textures, 16 toso textures and 16 shoulder textures. That's 60 textures right there. So no, you'll have to be content with the default. And then we're already hitting the material limit, which is 32 textures (on the whole model, including facemaps, eye textures etc). If you so desperately want your own texture for it, I'm afraid you'll have to skin it yourself (or wait for Floater until he posts that tutorial). Also brilliant fucking work mate, can't wait till I get home :buddy:
Have you considered combining UVs, like stacking up four? the texture sizes you work with are what, 512x512? 4 textures on a 1024x1024 file would greatly reduce file size. Then again, that'd mean a significant amount of work from you. Also, three versions of the armor with or without the color by alpha would be the same amount of textures, regardless if the feature was implemented anyway. I'd suggest doing the n-7 stripe with alpha enabled light grey armor. that'll allow color by alpha and would reduce the number of alternate paint schemes for the same pattern down to one.
