It can be lit correctly, but you'd never be able to move the interior at all.
In the mean-time, is anyone working on Salarians? if not, then I shall. floater, can I shanghai you into doing the head textures at least? I think i can handle the bodies
Almost time for another prop pack, I just need to de-shitify some of the phong. I think the model scale on a set of chairs in the first pic is off, too. Last pic is gm_beach_house, has some of haxxer's stuff mixed in. I always find that to be a disappointment in models when I can't place dynamic lights in them when the shadows don't appear or become very light.
^ I have no idea what you just said, so probably not. Anyway, just relzed.
Is anyone going to work on a face and finger-posable Illusive Man?
^ I have no idea what you just said, so probably not. Anyway, just relzed.
Nevermind. Just forget what I've said.
What Hamk means is that if you go into GMod and spawn a lamp using the lamp tool, direct it to the item in question; if it doesn't cast a dynamic shadow this way you need to fix it by compiling it again but with "$mostlyopaque 1" or "$opaque 1" in the QC.
Great stuff! Can't wait... But can you do an omni-tool, please?
There actually is an omnitool model somewhere. I think it was in a pack from dtmech
There actually is an omnitool model somewhere. I think it was in a pack from dtmech
Hmm, might have to hunt down for it Edit: Just found it. It's in his Fancy Model Pack. It also includes some other ME stuff.
There actually is an omnitool model somewhere. I think it was in a pack from dtmech
It's a little pale though, nothing the colour tool can't fix :P

I'll just grab the textures from Haxxer's pack, heheheh... they have heavy armor correct? (if so, i'll just take the whole body piece, seeing as it will probably fit better, and have working finger posing...)
If you got the model from ME2 then they'll probably be uvmapped differently to the ME1 ones despite the fact that the model is pretty much identical between games and so is the texture's appearance, so you'd have to use the ME1 model. If you can't be bothered to port and re-rig the ME1 model then send me the tintable ME2 textures and i'll work some magic on it

Anyone know how to fix these eyes?
Anyone know how to fix these eyes?
I've uploaded a quick one, there's a couple of models of Ashley in here I just quickly put the textures in (just swap the tinted facial textures out, those ones in the upload are just a quick colour test). There's a fixed eye texture as well as one for her eyelashes. The eyes might need to be made slightly darker, the colour I used on them was what I ended up sampling from the game. Oh, and I forgot to say - the armoured model also has the ME1 armour and texture all on it for you as well. I wish I could help out with this, just I can't rig things properly for Gmod in Milkshape (like finger or face/eye posing) or get things to compile correctly the majority of the time. (I'm new to getting things into Gmod and I've really only done mods for the Resident Evil games). :smith: Though, I'd be happy to help out with models and textures as I can get them out, remapped and tinted fairly quickly. It's just I wasn't sure if I could post some models or something to be rigged and compiled in the topic or not.
Looks cool, maybe I should finish Kaiden for symmetry. Pretty uneventful for my first ragdoll. Still not done, but he does work. [img_thumb]http://img816.imageshack.us/img816/4473/kaiden.jpg[/img_thumb] Hax's eyes btw, tried to work it all out myself, and failed spectacularly in a hundred different ways.

Finally, Ashley and Kaidan. My favorite two companions. :3: Great job, guys. They look great.
Nice, I was gonna do that, but I guess we can toss eachother's model into a pack and be merry, hehe [editline]24th March 2011[/editline] Cool, as long as the eyes work, should be good That isn't what I was looking for, I need help on how to fix the eyes, cause the UV mapping seems to be screwed up on them for some reason...
Hm, in regard to the ones I uploaded - the mapping on the eyes on the model should be working as I checked it in a couple of other programs and did a test port to RE4 with it. It's the model and textures from ME1, I tried it with ME2 but it kept screwing up on me so I went back to the first game as a lot of the textures wouldn't map properly and I didn't feel like remaking UV maps for them when I could use the ones that worked from the first game. I just uploaded those so you could swap or check things between if with the conversion they've done between ME1 to ME2 with the original models if the maps have gotten broken. Though with that you could also try loading in another set of the female eyeball models to see if the map in general is sort of shared. Sorry, I'm still rather a beginner to this and I usually just re-rip models, redo the UVs (or make new ones if the original textures or mapping just won't work) until it's fixed. :smith:
Almost done, just need to fix up some bugs and the phong. http://img864.imageshack.us/img864/877/kaidennew1.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/7061/kaidennew2.jpg
Does anyone working on AAP2 content?

^ Yeah I was using those originally, but I got bored of the ME1 textures, so I switched out the armor models so I could make these instead. All fun and games.
I really need some help with these eyes, anyone think I can send em the files and they could fix it?
