^ Good idea, I just need to you to describe exactly what she looks like. :p
according to Bioware she looks like this. which is horribly stupid. in any case, I'm sure a group of creative people can get together and figure out something that isn't so hackneyed. Deviant art is full of non-cannon ideas of what she might look like. far too many are based on "totally human buy with purple skin" for my liking, though.
Might want to put that just as a link or something for whoever hasn't seen it yet.
Where are the strippers
has anyone thought about making a suitless Tali? It seems like it would be a simple(ish) thing to make, and could be used to make a suitable rendered portrait to replace the shitty stock photo Bioware thought to slap us in the face with.
it's somewhere around here. That's pretty awful looking, though.
That's pretty awful looking, though.
and the Bioware version is better?
No, but that doesn't mean to say that's particularly good. The art it's based off is marginally better than bioware's depiction but the model itself isn't all that great looking.
it's a start at least.
If you ask me, they should have just let the character be masked. What I don't understand in the bioware version is, why does someone who lives all their life in a suit have long flowing hair.
Because bioware got lazy and photoshopped a stock photo.
I haven't played ME3 yet, but THATS the best they could do with Tali? Why make her look practically human, even down to the skin colour? Pffft.
If you ask me, they should have just let the character be masked. What I don't understand in the bioware version is, why does someone who lives all their life in a suit have long flowing hair.
I always imagined she'd have glazed eyes, a very thin frizz of hair, pure-white/translucent skin, and teeth like a batarian for good measure. Maybe that'd still look fairly human, but at least it wouldn't be so...ordinary.

Maybe that'd still look fairly human, but at least it wouldn't be so...ordinary.
at least this would probably disolve half of her shitty retarded fanbase
Or lose none of the fanbase by not unmasking her. Everyone has their own vision of what a Quarian looks like, not knowing is part of their mystique.
I'm mostly just angry that they used a stock photo from a Google search instead of making a model for it like in every single other photo in all three games. seriously, if I could see a picture of a Batarian in ME1 when Batarians didn't make an appearance until ME2, and in ME3 there are pictures of ships that have never been seen and will likely never be seen in-game, and they went to all the trouble to model GODDAMN SNOOKI in all her sloppy glory, they could have taken a few hours to retexture a human face and trim some of the gubbins off the quarian suit.
Yeah I agree with you, I don't even see why they would bother with a stock photo. You'd be better off not having her mask off at all. Batarians did make the ME1 DLC btw, I guess they just got cut from the main game.
and they went to all the trouble to model GODDAMN SNOOKI in all her sloppy glory
When I last checked, Jessica Chobot is not Snooki but *shrug* whatever. I dont have an issue with Tali's face at all. It's not what I expected but I know BioWare would base it off of a human face from the start. I dont get why Tali has purple skin and long hair. Wouldn't they have to keep taking their shit off just to cut it? We know they dont do that so if they do have hair her helmet would be full of it! :D Still I'm hoping for a reveal in DLC but I dont care that much. I'm a Tali fan, sure I might be a retard.. but theres no real good alternatives in Mass Effect! :P

Gonna redo the first one because that pattern + color combo look like ass. And i'm going to lower the rimlighting a lot too. Update: I fixed the face texture with super low res ME1 garrus so i don't have to stare at checkerboards, and replaced the shitty first skin with this one.

BioWare had a few faces in mind for Tali. http://i41.tinypic.com/2v96us6.jpg
