Which version did you install?
The standalone or the alyx replacement, and are you sure you extracted everything to the correct places?
Both I downloaded the files and placed them in the "garry's mod/addons" folder for G-mod 10...
Wait don't tell me they don't work for 10...
Edit:
Also I went into the game and in the spawn menu did the search and found the model but when I tried to apawn it, well, nothing happened...
Edit:
Also I clicked on the download at the very top of the first page...
If that helps...

It does not go in the addons folder.
I'll have to add that at the top :P
For addons to work, you need to make a info.txt file inside each folder. My suggestion would be to take one of the ones made by Garry, then adapt a copy of it, as those files have helpful tips and explanations in them.
Awesome. Amazing. Speechless.
There's something that's been bugging me for a while now, when I use a model replacement like this in Gmod 10. Whenever the Alyx playermodel is loaded (and I'm using the replacement), my console is swamped with CRC error messages, and the player in question is invisible. Is there any way to circumvent this, without removing the Alyx replacement model?
Has she fallin into some toxic slim or possibly some moss over-grow?

I don't think there's a way to fix that, but it's best that you not use the replacement in garrysmod.

:w-hat:
Anyway this could be used as a standalone player model in garrysmod?
can you fix this so you can actually have the alyx replacement part fixed for the player model. THe player model is invisible because of the replacement :crying:.
I just noticed someone posted this already. Never mind.
fap-fap-fap :D
I thought of this for a while: I think this model maybe is dropped from the game because it would not make sense of the Combine let female soldiers keep thier boobs, while removing their internal organs, like all Combine transhuman personel.
Oh well, just a thought.

Have you ever noticed that the stripped combine soldier model has a large, metallic lump sticking out of it's side?
I'll leave you to work out the rest.
I've tried everything for this model... I just can't get it to work for G-mod 10.
I've tried everything for this model... I just can't get it to work for G-mod 10.
Open the archive, select the folder of the version you wish to install, open the folder, you will see two folders
models and materials,
select those two and drag/extract them over to your
Steam/Steamapps/*username*/garrysmod/garrysmod/
folder
spawn by finding it with the model browser.
Okay man i'll try that thanks for your help and patience...

I just guessing on how to post pictures... But this is how I made the Models work...
and i can't figure it out but...
1) Download file and transfer it to your desktop...
2) Move the "standalone assassin" folder to your addons...
--- Then in that folder should be the "materials" and "models" folders...
------ Then create a text file in it with:
"AddonInfo"
{
"name" "Female Assassin"
"version" "1.0"
"up_date" "2nd December 2006"
"author_name" "Unknown"
"author_email" "n/a"
"author_url" "n/a"
"info" "Female Assassin"
"override" "0"
}
3) Move the "alyx replacement" to your addons...
--- Again inside that one should be the "materials" and "models" folders...
------Then create another text file in this folder with:
"AddonInfo"
{
"name" "Alyx Replacement"
"version" "1.0"
"up_date" "2nd December 2006"
"author_name" "Unknown"
"author_email" "n/a"
"author_url" "n/a"
"info" "Alyx Replacement"
"override" "0"
}
4) Load up the game, click the "Folder Icon", Click root...
5) Last but not least click on the "standalone assassin" or "alyx replacement" and add them to a spawn menu by right clicking on its file...
Date doesn't matter, It was just there when I copied a different info file...
Hi, apologies for bumping this thread. I tried sending a private message to thespectator a few weeks back but I never recieved a reply, and there wasn't an email address included with the model. So I figured I might have better luck just posting in this thread.
I'm "your evil twin", the creator of SMOD Remastered. You might have heard of the mod, you might not. Perhaps you are familiar with SMOD Remastered Redux, which was Onemanshow47 further modifying and enhancing my original SMOD Remastered.
Anyway, Onemanshow47 and myself have gotten together to release a new version, and we were wondering whether we could have permission to use thespectator's awesome Female Assassin model to replace SMOD's "Combine Ace".
Combine Ace's are Combine elites that run really fast and have the ability to leap high into the air. They are also silent, they don't have the male Combine voice, so that means that a female assassin model works perfectly for them. No incongruous male voice. :)
I've already tried it out in-game and it works fantastically well. I had to change the eye-colour to red though; although I really like the blue eye that thespectator gave the assassin, SMOD's Combine Ace's has this red trail effect emitted from the eye, a sort of red blur as the Ace is running, and obviously a red blur from a blue eye would look weird.
I could look into changing the trail-colour if thespectator would like to keep the eye blue, though.
Anyway, here's hoping that thespectator notices this. :) Please may we have permission to use your assassin model in our next mod release.
Evil, why not change the trail to blue and then give the combine elite a blue eye?
I'd rather an elite with a blue than a red one anyday.
Too sexy <3

Basically correct, but the overide needs to be "1" if you're going to use the replacement.
Yes, I know this is about 4 weeks too late.
EDIT: I agree with Uni-Hacked about the glow thing. Having the glow blue would also make sure no-one ends up confusing the Elites with the Aces from a distance (which strikes me as being a rather terminal mistake).
Nice work

Go ahead and use it, but note that it's rigged to alyx.
Now you are secret ly working for the COMBINE!!!!
Thanks! :)
Onemanshow47 put the assassin onto some other animations. (Standard rebel animations, I think.) A shame as her walk and run looked good with the Alyx anims ;) but it was necessary so that the assassin could fire submachine guns properlly. Plus the Combine Ace leaps around in the air so much and moves so fast that I doubt anyone would have been able to appreciate that the model had a feminine walk.

I think the Combine Ace's eye-trail effect uses the same effect as the red trail on HL2's hand grenades. So the only way to change the eye trail to blue is to change the grenade trail to blue. I suppose I could do that (might look nice), but I don't even know which sprite HL2 uses for that effect. (HL2 has loads of of "laser" and "beam" sprites.)

Don't the rebel animations work for male and female models anyway?
Any chance of getting this model to replace Alyx in Episode 2? That would be sweet to see this model kicking ass.
On another note I can't get it to spawn in GMod, I type it up as it says but I get nothing just an effort saying "#Female command is not recognized".
If you hexed it, it might work. I have not tried it before.
HOLY FUCKING BUMP BATMAN!
If you hexed it, it might work. I have not tried it before.
Hex? I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to all this. If it gives you any idea I just installed GMod 9.0.4 >.>
*Edit* Perhaps even making the female assassin replace the male Combine Elites would be cool.
Bump for information.
Nice job.
