Good luck out there![/QUOTE] I'll have to hold off on the fingerposing at the initial release, I managed to get it working, it was just a fist, but the fingers would scrunch up into stumps as if they had been sliced off. To actually set it up so that you can make a decent gun pose, it would take some time to assemble and compile a .vta for every finger joint.
How's it going with the model?
Excellent, thespectator. I'll be doing another reskin if you don't mind...that is, once you've released the model, or at least the UVs. Now...by better UVMaps...I assume the stretching of the material on her ass is fixed? And it appears you've updated the boots with their own skin, rather than using the leg texture...if so, that's awesome...I have some sexy boot textures I could put there. =D All in all, nice work, and I look forward to the updated release.

I had flattened the uv's to fit accordingly to the sheet but there was some really horrid stretching going on. The things that are better are the arms. I actually got them to unfold right, but for the legs I would have to resort to the inbuilt pelt mapping to get the best result. I could do this but it would take more time and require me to cut the model in half to do my work. So no on the legs, but the head is fixed, actually just gave it the elite's head so it has the same uv's and it looks better. Sorry to say, the boots still use part of the leg texture, it you'd like I'll make them their own texture with a decent uvmap so you can do whatever the hell you like with them? Also your skin still looks quite decent [img]http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/661/ssig6.jpg[/img] and as you can see I still have some fixing up to do ;)

The original assassin had a fine size. Glad someone else bothered using the head and hacking that mask on too.
Well, the cutting the model in half sounds...horrid. So don't bother with that if you don't want to. :P Basically, do the model however you see fit, and I'll see what I can do with it after release.

Agreed, the next version will be amazing. I look forward to it and all of its blue-eyed wonder. Has anyone tried making this model fingerposable? I've been trying to do poses with a katana, but the hands don't lend themselves to that very well. Beautiful model, irregardless. Gold-starred!
Looks like one of the best models so far for gmod. can't wait for a final version I hope someone will make it a player model when its finished
Intensely looking forward to the release. Been wanting a rigged one for DSRP's servers so we can implement an assassin role / Specialist into the COHTF. We just use NPC models, so the alyx replacement fits great with our animation system.

It looks fine. And if you make it a bit too shiny, I think it'd look kinda... Plastic.

Keeping it the near-original texture is good enough in my opinion.

The skin will be as it is, when released (if ever) you will be free to skin to your liking, but for now...
