Pain Elemental was a Doom 2 monster: he was a brown, horned version of the pumpkin that shat out Lost Souls. Needless to say he was fucking silly, though they took serious beatings.
Also, why not try using one of the skulls from say... Sniper Elite, or even the HL2:Ep 2 skeleton's skull?

can't port
or even the HL2:Ep 2 skeleton's skull?
can't decompile
I was able to decompile the Episode 2 skeleton a while back, did so while experimenting with ideas for the Chaos security suit girls...
I'll check it out again, let you know when I get up several hours from now.
nah don't bother i'll just use the Revenant head
the mp7 texture issue sounds like a bad rip? can you try again in maybe a level with higher ambient light? alternatively, any chance you can salvage the texture with photoshop?

hacked this off the Quake 3 playermodel, gave it some extra polygons and improved the textures

the Lost Soul is low priority so i'll try making a Baron of Hell next
did the Warfighter MP7 but the textures are so dark you have to go ingame and shine a lamp on it to make it show up
Is the diffuse itself so dark? Or is that just in game?

i can't fixing texture error what do i do?
Perhaps change those weird symbols into slashes? I could be wrong. :v:
Near as I can tell, they should be
"VertexLitGeneric"
{
$basetexture "model/mw2/gunbox/gunbox.vtf"
}
and
"VertexLitGeneric"
{
$basetexture "model/mw2/gunbox/gunbox_line.vtf"
}
thank you Kartoffel :D
Did it work? I was just guessing. :v:

First rig-thingamajig I've ever made. And it's less than stellar. Any ideas what could cause this? Seems this has to do something with the angles at which the bones are placed. I have no idea, enlighten me.
Torso seems fine, as for the legs, they've seen better days. The whole model is turned 90° also.

You need to check your bone rotations and your boneweights.
Its dangerous to go alone, take this:

also, had a whack at it

This is what afternoons that I should be spending studying for my CSCI 301 class end up being used for.

I decided that it's a shame no one has (to my knowledge) ported those pre-rigged Resident Evil models in Plasmid's resources thread. Seeing as the particular set of models this is from came fully rigged (and I checked, and the rig is pretty solid in most cases), I decided to finish it up and port it.
Majority of the work came in the form of sorting through the core bones, the secondary bones, and the useless bones, and naming accordingly. Then I baked a really crappy physmodel, just so I can get the core bones to be poseable. Finally, I built her faceposing and got her eyes working properly, then reskinned her hair and eyelashes (hair was bright blonde, and eyelashes bright pink; decided I like her raven-haired better) and got SSAO working on her.
I don't have any intentions for a Gmod-friendly release - she's being built strictly with SFM in mind. Which is to say she has no defined joint constraints, so she'd spawn completely stiff in gmod. SFM disregards constraints, so I decided to not spend any time on them.
I still have some minor work to do on her. Namely, I want to rebuild her torso rig - it only has one bone at around her waist, and another right below her breasts, which results in some pretty limited maneuverability. I want to build it with at least 3 or 4 evenly-spaced bones, for better control.
In addition to that, she has various currently untouched bones rigged to various elements of her skirt and her hood - the hood bones I intend to make jigglebones, and the skirt I am debating jigglebones or physics objects (for manual posing). I also intend to add some flexes to squish the back of her skirt in, for sitting poses and such.
As to why I picked this particular model, well... I picked it because of reasons.
[sp]She even had a bone placed and rigged for being turned into a jigglebone. Like I said, because of reasons.[/sp]
use phymodels for the skirt so the legs dont clip through.

i thought glocks were plastic
i thought glocks were plastic
Advanced synthetic polymers, actually. Not exactly the same as plastic, but some people think otherwise. Although, the slide on that Glock model looks sort of metallic with those textures imo.
yeah theres definitely metallic wear on that glock which im pretty sure wouldnt happen? im not a gun nut at all but i always was under the impression that glocks were not metal.
yeah theres definitely metallic wear on that glock which im pretty sure wouldnt happen? im not a gun nut at all but i always was under the impression that glocks were not metal.
A Glock would eventually get some wear on it over an extensive period of time and use, but it wouldn't look like it had the same wear on it that a metal-based weapon would. It would look more like these:
This is what it looks like after the weapon has been cleaned of rust (something I never actually expected possible with a Glock).
[thumb]http://www.adcofirearms.com/glock/rustcleaned.jpg[/thumb]
And this is generally what it looks like with the finish wearing off at the end of the slide, as well as some minor scratches.
