Well if you used masking tape*, it wouldnt leave soft edges, it would leave hard edges.
His are soft edges which leaves me to believe they sprayed it careful, But there would at least still be some small specs here and there and grainy edges as well.
Sorry, *masking tape. My friends dad was a Green Beret in Afghanistan, and he did a simular thing to his m14 with *masking tape. It is possible, you just have to know what you're doing. + I think we can all agree it looks awesome none the less.

These camo jobs are literally "paint that shit tan and then slap some stripes on it". No one doing these types of camouflage would ever use tape if they're trying to get some quick stripes, you just run the can over it without letting it get too thick. I think it's exactly how it would look, and I've seen dozens upon dozens of actual rifle paint jobs that look exactly like it.
You wouldn't be picking up "small specs" without being inches from the texture at which point it wouldn't be holding up anyway. It's fine the way it is.

MOH doesn't have an AFG

It depends on the part, main parts of the weapon are typically around 1024^ to 2048^, attachments and magazine can be between 256^ and 1024^. I run MOH on max settings though I don't know if that affects the maps that get ripped..

On gamebanana there are already AFG models that are pretty decent. I would have added one but I'm not a fan of the AFG personally. I'm a whore for EOTechs and SureFire M900s personally.
And I thought I was on ultra when I ripped. I'll have to try again to make sure. It's a shame because I have to reinstall the game every time I use the ripper.
