How do you go about porting from skyrim?
It's the same as porting from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
It's the same as porting from Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.
I have never ported from thoose games, what program should i use?
ok normally what happens is it either throws this because its too high poly or because it cant find one of the smds so check those too.
every .smd is there. in the .qc as well as in the folder. and believe me ... he's not too high poly. as i said i've had him compiled before, and the female vampirelord is done too. you wouldn't believe how low-poly this bitch is. that shit is giving me a headache.
I have never ported from thoose games, what program should i use?
First get this extractor: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/34 Then you should get the latest .nif importer/exporter plug-in if you're using 3D Studio Max from here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/3ds_Max As for the scaling models to Source it's best to use 55.0 Scaling rigged models (monsters, npcs etc.) requires the use of a maxscript from the source files of the male Argonians that oogaboogaman released here: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1149115 I'am sure you can figure out how the rest works.
http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2683 used this when porting some mod from fallout --imgsnipsex--
Thx beebz [editline]26th February 2013[/editline]
First get this extractor: http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/34 Then you should get the latest .nif importer/exporter plug-in if you're using 3D Studio Max from here: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/3ds_Max I'am sure you can figure out how the rest works.
Thanks!

that B looks kind of, uh... bad
Actually now that I checked the Vampire Lord texture files... I don't really see how 2048x2048 is "low-res" and "ugly". Personally I like it. But it is your work so I'am not gonna force you to change it TheMask, keep at it.
that B looks kind of, uh... bad
I changed the letter, what do you guys think?
Better.
Hey guys, I've got a bit of an odd request here. I want to port some stuff from Unreal Tournament 3: Black Edition and TES: Skyrim. I have the latest version of Blender, what other tools do I need? Also, are there any unique difficulties porting the character heads from Skyrim? I noticed Norpo managed to crank out the Dawnguard Armor, but besides Argonians I haven't seen any other character heads for the other races. I've got some cool stuff in mind, but I really want to not only make them myself, but to have them the way I want them, instead of asking someone else to do it and bitching if they don't include something.
Gregori could look like this guy: maybe its just me
Turned out ok. The only problem is Gregori's stupid modeled on mustache that you can still see.
Turned out ok. The only problem is Gregori's stupid modeled on mustache that you can still see.
Can't you flatten that part of the mesh or something?
Can't you flatten that part of the mesh or something?
No I don't think so. I think it'll break the face posing.
No I don't think so. I think it'll break the face posing.
Not all of it though. I think.
You could of course just give him a mustache, you know. If I remember correctly, I don't think the military has any problems with mustaches, as long as they're kept short (what Gregori already has) Just a thought.
No I don't think so. I think it'll break the face posing.
Claim that he just has a fat lip and call it good. :v:
Also, I might as well ask again, What tools besides Blender would be needed to port models from UT3: Black Edition and TES: Skyrim? I want to make some cool shit, but I may as well be pounding the keyboard with my face if I don't have the proper tools. Just saying, Having some proper dragons and Draugr would be awesome, and I have yet to see any public models in that regard
Just saying, Having some proper dragons and Draugr would be awesome, and I have yet to see any public models in that regard
Perhaps you should try looking for oogaboogaman\Chrysaetos' releases. He's done all of the dragons and the Draugr, and they've all been publicly released. Well, he's done all that were present in vanilla Skyrim.
Turned out ok. The only problem is Gregori's stupid modeled on mustache that you can still see.
Fucking brilliant. [editline]26th February 2013[/editline] (i have a massive boner for anything blackhawk down related)
No I don't think so. I think it'll break the face posing.
That depends, really. around the lips is tricky but you can actually edit the mesh quite a bit before you break things.
For curiosity. What you guys use to make the models? Blender, Maya or 3ds max? Just for know cuz I'll start with character modeling and I want choose one for training.
i've had him finished already. [t]http://uppix.com/f-Male_Vamp512cd023001238ac.jpg[/t]
Ever seen The Night Flier based on the Stephen King book? Well, not terribly similar, but it's the first thing I thought when I saw that pic.
Say has anyone ever considerd trying to port the evil geniuses / their henchmen from the game Evil Genius ?
I don't know, maybe you should go make a request thread instead of posting it in a thread about WIP model/skin ports.
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
