Please someone tell my what should I do to fix this?
The same thing happened on the plane is keep happening.
Running on Windows 7, Ripper is windows XP SP2 compacity since it quits games when I tried to rip Alan Wake in windows 7.
Is that why? SHould I return it to normal and try again? It says it cannot load materials when I import OBJ.
ps. 3ds max 2011 - 32bit
It's better to import the 3dr as opposed to the OBJ from the rip. Also I assume the problem is the UVW map. Check the other channels. If the rip UVW comes out corrupted, a good one is usually on the sixth channel.

I tried, could never find the right programs to use or afford to spend the time needed to do a good quality job. Last thing I want to do is add bad content to the community... maybe one day though.

Personally I use 3ds Max 2010, Photoshop CS5, VTFEdit, Notepad ++, GUIStudioMDL with Source SDK & Garrysmod to the WiP and eventual final product.
But yes, most combinations of modeling\ imaging programs should do the job.

Actually, you can substitute 3DS Max for Blender and Photoshop for GIMP and your ready to go for the low price of $0!

Are you going to fix the weapons phong like you did for the L4D/2 weapons? It looks like the weapons are made of plastic.
The stock is made of plastic.
But yeah, it is a little too bright.
For some reason, phong looks hella stronger in model viewer than it is ingame.

Pretty sure it's not true cel-shading, just painted onto the textures.
I thought they just stuck a shitty black border around everything and named the game borderlands :(
