Started playing Metro again, never noticed how good the faces look. Decided I should try porting some over, and give them faceposing. Release them as a resource.
Does anything think it's a good idea? As in, would anyone use the heads if I released them with full faceposing? Rate this post [b]Agree[/b] if you think I should and/or you might use the heads for a project.
Note that I have absolutely no intention to do ragdoll ports. Just the heads, with faceposing.
Also, what's a good height to put the heads at? I'm thinking 64 units from the origin (where they import around) is a good height. If anyone has any suggestions for a better height, feel free to throw them out. It's important that I know now, before I do faceposing, because once I start building faceposing, the head can't be moved - you'd have to fit the body to the head.
For reference, 64 units puts them almost exactly as the same height as the BMS male scientist head.

I just now realize I don't think I have ever posted any flex-building I've done.
So here's a .gif of how Alex's faceposing goes thus far. Have only done the eyebrows so far. Splitting symmetrical flexes is so nice - 12 flexes, 6 VTAs, 20 minutes to make. Just to show that I'm not just blowing hot air here.

Only flexes I'm concerned about are eyelids and open-mouth stuff. Never really tried those before. Simple stuff like eyebrows, cheeks, and depressors/pullers, though, I can do fairly well.
I like metro, I want metro last light, I devour everything that has anything to do metro, I listen to metro soundtracks right now, I love metro, I think you should make heads, metro got good faces, I'm going to dream about metro, who am I? Would I survive a postapocalyptic event? Would I even survive the doomsday? Blablabla
You should make thoes heads if you feel you have the time, I would not do anything with them but man I would like to see some more metro models. I can't get enough!

Pretty much done faceposing Alex. Just need to fix his eyes, maybe touch up a few flexes like his depressors. Then I can start porting Eugene - the guy with the awesome goatee who you sit next to when taking the cart-ride to Riga at the beginning of the game.

Can anyone help me with the eyes? I can get his eyes to be in about the right place, but he's cross-eyed and his eyes track the wrong way (IE if his eyes should turn left, they instead turn right; and instead of going down, they go up).

Finished doing the initial flex-building for Eugene. I don't think it came out bad for 44 flexes in 30 minutes. There's a few flexes I need to redo, namely his smile and eyebrow-lower flexes, but other than that, I think it came out pretty solid.
Still need help fixing eyes though.

Oh yuck, are those textures from a GTA IV mod or something? Do you have the bumpmaps?

I can fix the MountFilesystem( 441 ) error, by validating TF2. However, Google tells me that Steam App ID 217 is "Multiplayer OB Binaries", which doesn't help me at all.

Been attempting to hack together a reference model for Corvo from Dishonored using a model from an ending and the model for the mask, trying to think of how I'll do the hood.

It'd be nice if there was actually a model of him ingame, but I can't find shit aside from the ending models which are basically just statues. If someone knows of an actual rigged model in the game, for the love of god, stop me from doing this.
