Maybe someone here can help me because I don't know where else to go.
I can't seem to edit the gradient with the envelope in the skin modifier. This is naturally quite the pain while I'm trying to fix the rigging on this hand (or doing any skinning at all).

Here's a pic of my whole screen. Am I just missing a step here? I've tried to do this in both 2012 and 2010 after reading that in some cases, the skin modifier in 2012 was broken.

Also worth mentioning that this happens when I import an smd with the bones. When I remove the bones from the skin modifier and re-add them, then I can edit them just fine. But obviously, this breaks the rigging.

This thread makes me wish I didn't suck at anything to do with rigging of any type
I just do not have the patience for it.
I was porting some weaponry from a Halo 1 mod (the CMT SPv3 Truth and Reconciliation release - they released the tags for people to play with, so yeah..) but I can really only have them on the original MJOLNIR handrig or an HL1 handrig of the same skeleton I had from some other model.
Does anyone here think they could set aside some time to help stick the HL2 hand mesh on the skeleton for the Halo weapon ports? I'd love to have it :v:

No it didn't, the rigging on those models was exactly the same as the originals, that is perfectly fine. You somehow managed to fuck the rigging up somehow, I really don't know how you can actually do that without doing it on purpose.

dude. what programs are you using? milkshape or 3DS? And if its milkshape is it the newest? if not get the newest, it looks like you didnt preserve the bone weights on the suit model. i.e. it makes it look bad.
