You can extract models with Solidus tool. But nice one, when i tryed to use 3Dx Ripper, i got epic fail. Geometry wont extract correctly.

господа,я заметил ту большинство непосредственно шарящих людей родом из России так что же вы на инглише общаетесь?;или это обязательное условие форума? БигБосс,так в максе совсем модели не сгладить? Потому что я уже достаточно много моделек нарипал и выправил в Т позу,делая персонажей с других игр для ГТА СА и соответственно опыта набрался,мне бы только сгладить спасибо за Солидус,только я не смекнул что да как шапка Viewer в нём вообще не активна чтоли,и я так понял все модельки лежат в файле face только он у меня в шапке File Converter список содержимого архива выдаёт а конвертить не хотит,наверное в опциях намудрил меня собссно интересуют только русские солдаты(которые в форме Ольги а не Оцелота) ,Эмма,да Ольга в полной форме какую я видел на пред.страницах этой темы,да ссылочки что-то не приметил и ещё,в сети есть пак моделек со второго МГС,только там у моделек половина полигонов перевёрнута,это надо фиксить с помощью модификатора Normal в 3дс максе или есть другой метод? и ещё ещё,почему для вас проблема сделать модельку в Т позе из имеющейся в позе "по стойке смирно"? это же просто:через активный пивот и выделения по вершинам

Yes you can say that english is a prereq here. As to revered normals in polygons - just try hitting unify a few times, it tends to fix most of the issues. And if it doesn't, just manually rotate them. These are pretty lowpoly models so it;s not that hard or time intensive.
[b]daywalker[/b] Nope, you can smooth models! Just choose mesh, then go to editable mesh, then choose "select by element". Then choose the all mesh and down there, there will be "Smoothing groups" section, click at "auto-smooth" or choose one of the number blocks. To use solidus a made a little tutorial for one guy who ask me to tell him how to use solidus, here: -------------------------- I will tell you an examaple. How to find main characters models like Snake and Raiden (Playable models) So for exampe: Open Stage folder, then open r_vr_s. Its a Solid Snake model in VR missions. Now there is 4 files. Cache.dar, Cache.qar, Resident.dar, Resident.qar. .dar - its a models and other files "?", .qar - its a textures. You need to open Resident.dar for Snake models. There are many files, but Snake is easy to find. All Snakes file are named like "Sna..." For example the "sna_def.kmy" - is a Snake models. Other files like "sna_mag1.kmy" its a weapon mag on his suit, and "sna_bdn1.kmy" - its his bandana. Textures are located in Resident.qar. So here little list of the characters: r_vr_r - its a VR Raiden r_vr_1 - its a VR Snake in his MGS1 suit. r_vr_x - its a VR Naked Raiden. r_vr_p - its a VR Snake Pliskin. r_vr_t - its a VR Snake in Tuxedo. r_vr_b - its a VR Raiden in Gray Fox suit. So, then if you need characters like Olga, Ocelot or Solidus or Vamp etc... You must search them all over the folders. Its hard to find them, but they also have special marks. For example Solidus will be named "sol...", Vamp - "vmp...", Olga - "olg...", Raiden - 'rai..." etc... So good luck to you then =) ------------------------- About that model rips pack, yes there are ruined, but its because they have .evx (Models from cutscenes, with detailed hands and teeth/mouth format) and when you tryed to extract them with Solidus, they comes ruined. hello there i love how the garry's mod port ended up in proting to everything except to garry's mod, lol never mind to continue the madness i might say that i almost sucesfully ported gray fox to the real world. [IMG]http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll164/OUTER_HEAVEN_1987/P4160445.jpg[/IMG] now for mgs2 the character geometry is blocky, and i never found a fix for that, then i realized that all materials must get the brightness emition to almost max and they look the way they looked in game, then you use a color filter (in the game is a blue semi transparent color corrector layer.)

If not work try to apply "32" smooth block. If not work, then convert to editable poly, select by verticles, select whole model and then use "Weld" command with paramaetr = 0,001 (Рядом с Weld окошко, нажимаешь там будет выставлено значение 0,1. Смени на 0,001 и жми Apply). Then apply Smoothing groups, should help... I dont understand the last question, say it in russian.

SidneyMadMax,i extract Emma's model without Solidus it rip 3DX Ripper and fix handle glasses is GTA Material --> special Kama scripts for 3ds max this method use to creating glass for converting cars in gta
No,No,No! It cant be 3D ripper! Your model isnt smoothed - that one false! 3D Ripper Shooting 3D pictures and transform them into 3D models! Only way of error - Texture, Model Verticles
