ok, I just tried ripping from sonic 4 Ep2 with DX ripper. and nothing. the ripper failed to rip anything

Did you press F10? Probably shoulda mentioned that F10 is the hotkey...

yes, no folder appeared with the riped files. Is there something I'm missing? note, I'm trying to rip from the PC steam version of S4Ep2

It should rip just fine once you press F10. Uhm...I cant think of anything causing the error. :\ I can rip just fine. did you have DX Ripper load sonic.exe or the launcher?

Sonic.exe, with steam open Edit: works with ep 1, but not 2 for some reason when you launch ep 2, is steam running?

No, I don't use steam.

that would be why it's working for you then. I actually bought the game so it starts up steam when I try to boot up the game through the ripper.

dude, no. I already bought and download the game. I will not torrent anything. besides, there might be a way later on to just convert the models from the folders. Or someone else could rip the models and I just risk not getting the ones I want. (usually ones people don't think about)

Well since you're so against torrenting, I suggest you try to find the old beta 8 and try to rip from that.

Nice. Hope to see some ports from you soon. :P About the rigging, ask RTB. I remember when he ported the metal sonic from episode 2 he was able to find the bone locations through the .zno and rig it.
