Cheers! Now I can do this: Black Version: http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/6206/soniccdgmodblack.jpg
In my opinion the black one is better.
Texture modification (no Env-map) for generations models now added to first post
Glad to know this topic isn't entirely dead yet! I don't know what I'd do if it just died.
I'm still waiting for Apochedgie to release Modern Sonic. Been camping this topic for days.
I'm still waiting for Apochedgie to release Modern Sonic. Been camping this topic for days.
I'm still waiting for Classic Shadow ragdoll since january D:
I'm still waiting for Apochedgie to release Modern Sonic. Been camping this topic for days.
Modern metal sonic and modern knuckles? Instead of sonic? Really apoc?
Modern metal sonic and modern knuckles? Instead of sonic? Really apoc?
I've mentioned this before, but I'll mention it again. Modern Sonic's eyelids are a major bugger to work with. That's the only thing stopping me from releasing it right now. Knuckles' eyelids were extremely easy to work with, hence why I got him done beforehand.
I had the Tails Doll model, it's ok but it doesn't react to lighting.
I'm mainly waiting for Silver and to see if the Egg Dragoon suggestion I made will actually work. (Breaking the dragoon in half)
Well if Sonic's eyelids are a pain I can only imagine shadow and silver's eyelids to be the same.
Would anyone be willing to rip the model for Sonic's boost and spin jump for me? I really can't find a generations ripping guide or the tools needed anywhere so... Yeah... I can port them to source myself, I just need the models and textures. And yes, I'm talking about the special effects, not Sonic curled up into a ball.

http://code.google.com/p/sonic-glvl/downloads/list This should have what you're looking for. It includes the import max script but the models turn out tiny. http://www.mediafire.com/?1k2r4z39odubr8b So I provide my modified version for your own convenience.
Might get the addon :)
Getting GLvl will allow you to make Generations levels too :>
Is there any chance we'd be able to get the hint ring prop from Unleashed? The rainbow colored dotted ring with the big, gold "?" inside. Would anyone be willing to rip and rig that? Maybe include an idle animation? Also, I know that there's a bunch of prop models that probably got ripped along with the character models that y'all have been doing. Could they get put on the models resource or something so others can take a whack at porting them?
Haven't posted anything here for a while so here: Have a screen of Eggman's Epic glasses

So, uh...

If only I knew how to skeleton. Then I could try out that "break the skeleton in half so there's an upper and lower half to it so it doesn't go over the limit" thing I talked about earlier.
Well if you exported it from 3ds max as an smd and port it into blender it'll give a warning about bone limits, and yet all the bones remain. Simplest thing to do is save it as two separate blender files and then just delete half of one part in one and delete the other half in another, same with bones, just remember to keep the bone that attaches to each other so it can be merged together later on.
Okay, I got a question for you waiting on the sonic 4 badnik pack update. do you want to wait for Newtron and Shell Cracker or do you want the pack released without them? Newtron: http://info.sonicretro.org/Newtron Shell Cracker: http://info.sonicretro.org/Shellcracker Edit: This just means that if I release without them, the pack gets released once the surprise badnik is finished.
Release the pack now and release the other two later.
the pack can't be release now due to the surprise badnik. The surprise badnik is actually coming along nicely and at a decent rate, so either way, it get's included.
and Classic Shadow?? :c
may have been forgotten again I'm trying to see if there's a way to make a proper max script importer for Sonic 06 models. The current one (IE the only one) Reads the vertex data and dumps it into a bin file, which also means the bone data is lost entirely. Edit: Unfortunately I have no knowledge on how to create a said script to import the said model data, Opening up the models in notepad shows that the textures are apparently loaded first, then the bone data soon after followed by the vertex data (Or at least I'm assuming its the vertex data)

Well the surprise badnik is now rigged and ready for export. judging by what little response I got the pack will be released without Shellcracker and Newtron Surprise Badnik about to be tested, expect badnik pack soon
Badnik pack is now released: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=132569
Badnik pack is now released: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=132542
GarrysMod.org hates ZIP files inside of ZIP files. You'll have to unpack that into a separate folder and re-upload it to remove the report.
alright then. Reuploaded without the extra zip (previous post modified) so, did anyone figure out what the surprise badnik is? Edit: Note to self, when gmod has problems, hold release back
