Actually its the Generation models, which he got as a beta tester for Apoc.

I've been teaching myself how to rig things. I've only rigged the propeller to spin though, and even then it only spins by directly manipulating the bones in SFM and stuff. But either way, it's a start.
Sonic Generations models are now up on the workshop, get 'em while they're hot.
Yes, it includes Modern Sonic and Tails. Go nuts.

I split it into two packs to future-proof it for updates so I don't break the filesize limits.

Is it too late to say that the models are off-scale with each other?

this is just the current pack uploaded to workshop, right?

Yes it is.

Okay, allow me to explain something here. The scales are indeed correct, even though it may not seem like it. The source engine uses metric, and using the official size charts from SEGA I made Sonic 100cm in 3DS Max, which is his proper height. Here's a size guide for both the Modern and Classic characters:

Each block is 10cm. And here's SEGA's size chart for Sonic and the rest. The size didn't change between eras as you can see from the little eye-catch cards from Sonic X:

Being the huge Sonic fan I am, I made sure that these were correct. If anything Classic Eggman should be a bit taller.

Not exactly, I fixed up a few things and also added Modern Sonic and Tails.

This just means Classic Sonic's head is giant
Love the faceposing for the new models, Apoc. :v:

Sorry if this is too soon, but when will we be expecting to see Amy ported?
Loving the new models, only had a chance to get a quick fiddle with them earlier but I can tell you've been working hard. Dem blinkable eyes. :O
Anyone got any advice for a first time screenshotter. Thing...?
Heres another screenshot by yours truley. Sorry for the awkward posing on Classic Sonic, I tried to make him shorter with the legs.

Is the SVN going to be updated as well?
Is the SVN going to be updated as well?
I also wanted to know if it was.
Loving the models, Apoc. You did a great job porting them over to Gmod. :D
I love how flexible the new models are, but the size just aches at their usefulness, they're about the size of toys. I know you did this for consistency reasons, but if I have to use any other model with these generations models, they end up being so smaller in comparison.
In my opinion, I would love to see Unleashed sized versions of the models, but that is just me. Again, love the models.

Yes the uv mapping is in the right place. wtf happened?
EDIT: WHAT THE FUCK BLENDER WHY ARE YOU READING THE UV MAPPINGS UPSIDE-DOWN?
Either flip the texture or the UV map vertically.
Apoc, i love the models, but the size scale is just off. It states both modern sonic and classic sonic are the same size. However, when you play generations, classic sonic is noticeably shorter. I get you're trying to stick to official sizes, but in this case SEGA kinda screwed that up..
For example:
http://sonic.sega.jp/SonicChannel/chara/sonic/index.html
according to this, modern sonic is 100CM
http://info.sonicretro.org/File:Classic_character_heights.svg
according to this, classic is also 100CM
but according to Sonic Generations, Modern sonic is much taller than Classic:
http://www.segashiro.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Sonic-generations-playstation-3-ps3-1303392634-015.jpg
Again, i love the models, but the sizes really should be changed, its just odd seeing classic sonic and modern sonic standing next to each other and then being pretty much the same size. (10cm isn't noticeably different).
Lol they're both 100 cm because they're both Sonic. They didn't see sonic as two (classic/modern) until around the time Generations was being thought up.
think of it this way,

Even though he appears to be different heights, he's still the same height as all the other ones because they're all X.

Yeah i realize that, but seeing as these are generations models and all. It would make more sense to keep them at their sizes from the game. i mean on their own they're fine, but when you put classic and modern sonic side by side.. it looks really off.
Either flip the texture or the UV map vertically.
I shouldn't have to if the uv map is exactly where it needs to be.
Heres another screenshot.

I guess I'm gonna have to give it the Mario treatment where each model has 5 sizes to choose from. Also, for the record I didn't change any of the heights at all, they're all the same heights as ripped from the game. Once I scaled Sonic correctly the rest all matched up properly.
And now looking back, Sonic changes sizes throughout the game. In the scenes Classic Sonic is visibly smaller than Modern Sonic, but side-by-side, the difference in height is negligible. I blame SEGA.
