There might be a way to do it with stages, but maybe not ones from colors. If someone was to get the battle levels from Heroes(Team Battles) or SA2B (The mech battles) the maps would be small enough to work most likely. It would even be easier to get the egg fleet ships.

well what about the whisps and each of Sonic's forms from colors?
well what about the whisps and each of Sonic's forms from colors?
I would say it's possible, so long as somebody has the wisp models. It would probably be very easy, too because most of the Wisps don't require much, if not any bone structure, so they could probably be made as a still prop. I can try one, but I'm no expert at modeling, so no promises!
I've actually been working on a Sonic stage from a different game. Namely a Green Flower zone from SRB2

what it really needs right now, is people who can fix its net code. That basicly the only thing holding back the latest version (2.1)

well would these help?

You can't always rely on the models resource.
You can't always rely on the models resource.
why not it's better than going to some place you have to PAY for models.
because they don't always have the models you're looking for, some times you have to go rip them yourself.
because they don't always have the models you're looking for, some times you have to go rip them yourself.
Not to mention, but some of the models there were just ripped and nothing else. I've found quite a few models there that look really fucked up with the textures applied, like the UV coordinates are messed up or something.

http://www.models-resource.com/wii_gamecube/soniccolors/
I know that they have the models, and I started trying to make a cube wisp, but once again my amateur modeling skills led to a problem. Is there any reason that when I converted the textures to TGA and then to VMF and VTF that in Gmod the textures did not work and had the black and purple textures?
when you compiled the model, where did you tell it that the textures were?
I found some extra skins on Modern Sonic and Modern Tails whilst playing around with the skin switcher:

I have an 06 style shoe texture I made for the generation's shoe, with a normal map included =)

No offense to Apoc, but Tails could've really done with a Super Tails skin...
No offense to Apoc, but Tails could've really done with a Super Tails skin...
The white Sonic and Tails can be changed to any color with the color changer. So you can almost make super Tails.

APOC.. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!

In the qc I have it as $cdmaterials "models\Wisps\" and I created the folder in the appropriate location. The standard VMF is
"VertexLitGeneric"
{
"$basetexture" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\stargmr\garrysmod\garrysmod\materials\models\Wisps\chr_pixy_pzl_body_ref_SD"
}
Is there a way to make Sonic Generations ragdolls models compatible with rig in source filmmaker?
That's possible, if someone makes rigs for Sonic models
No offense to Apoc, but Tails could've really done with a Super Tails skin...
I made one a while ago

I made some experiments in Source Filmmaker with ApocHedgie new models.
Compared to garry's mod, I can make more expressive faceposing with advanced eyebrows and eyelids posing. The model polygons may be a bit messed but the result is more convincing.

The posing is easy but it could be easier if the model is compatible with rig, hope someone will do it.

I also tried something some animations. I experienced that what I call the "mouth swapping".

It was verry tricky because if I change the model keeping the animation, it messing up his entire mouth

Then, I had to replace manually his entire mouth, it was verry hard.
Last thing, it's really need to be fixed: the modern models scales are way too small!

Link's one have the correct scale, if you can set him a bit more taller, it would be perfect.
Anyway, the model is very well made except modern scale. Thank you Apochedgie!

Apoc worked off of the character specs, so they are in fact the correct size. I don't see what the big deal is over the scale. Sonic is 3'3", so of course he is going to be shorter than any of your other ragdolls that average 5-6 feet tall. I think we should be happy that we're even new Sonic models for Gmod. Talk about a crowd that can be hard to please. :P

Actually the unleashed models are way too big. The smaller one is the accurate size.

Here we go again folks. We'll just say that Modern Sonic is supposed to be bigger than Classic Sonic, probably the model heights came from the hub worlds or something. Not the Cutscenes.

look at the screen. You see two modern Sonic's not modern and Classic.

I know that yes, but the Unleashed models though off-scale but are taller than the classic modelst. But, Apoc will give the size treatment to these models.

by all means I think that's great, I just prefer actual-size over over-sized. :v:
Sonic is a fucking hedgehog, and tails is a fox.
Do you expect them to have a big size?
