Now UV Map this! :v:
Exactly what I'm going to do after I've made a low poly, it's going to make me hate life itself though.
Now UV Map this! :v:
reading this post sent shivers up my spine nice gun btw, livewire. [editline]24th March 2012[/editline]
what if i add leather pants, that would look rad [editline]22nd March 2012[/editline] like he's a beast from HELL
those kind of kinky leather pants that expose ur ass
Ok enough silly talk about leather pants and cartoony SCAR-Ls, lets get back into some serious modeling discussion Working on this
Is that your self-portrait? I'd like to see that finished.
It's Sarah Jessica Parker [editline]24th March 2012[/editline] But thank you for mentioning, my sexual organs could be described as having horse-like qualities.
Made this in a little over an hour. I know the colors are a bit bland and whatnot, but it was just for fun
Jesus Christ, his skin is made of shrink warp.

I know theres a default UI script which puts them down there, but I'd like to modifiy my already customized UI. google ain't helping.
That kinda reminds me of some mutated version of Joker.

Once you're satisfied, save your config. My setup, for the hell of it: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7522717/ZBrushSetup.jpg
Here’s something I’ve been working on and off for a while now. I’m working with a few friends to produce a Machinima and I’m the modeler on the team. This is the helmet as it was last year. My friend and I have gotten caught up in work and school and have put off filming for some time. My friend came to me and asked if I could have the old helmet ready for filming, which includes texturing and rigging, within in a week! And, in my opinion, things are going great! I’ve learned so much since last year which will make creating a low rez mesh much easier and more pleasing to the eye. Now that the hard part of sculpting is done I can move on to the retopo phase, UVing, and texture. :D I'm very happy with the results and wanted to share them. Cheers.
I made a door. I forget why.
Pow Pow Really wish there were better reference images for the type 97A. Doing the backsight was a bitch.
I'm thinking about going back to a shit model I made 2 years ago and doing it properly.
feels bad when you call that a bad model :(
The edges on my model went all borkey when I duplicated it. Any ideas? I am useing 3dsmax 2012
I am useing 3dsmax 2012
There's your problem. Try changing the video driver.

Try giving the wood more texture and roughness and the metal some scratches and texture as well.
Well I put some basic materials(chrome) and some colors, so there's actually no texturing done yet also, it's rubber :v:
Well I put some basic materials(chrome) and some colors, so there's actually no texturing done yet also, it's rubber :v:
Ah, that makes sense. Carry on...

It's very low poly though, unless it's for a mobile game you can give it three times the polys.
A cryogenic freeze grenade I am working on for a sci-fi pack. Bit uninspired at the moment but I am sure a texture would help that.

Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to modelling and *think* to have aquired the basics of shaping objects into what I want. I've been trying to find resources about how to optimize my models for the use inside of games (everything aside of lowering the polycount), but I haven't been able to find a single good source. Could anyone recommend anything? As a example, I'm not quite sure whether this intersecting geometry will do the performance any bad or the fact it's made of multiple modified quads which aren't connected to one another (resulting in more draw calls?).
[t]http://angry-engineers.com/centration/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/taggart_revolver.png[/t]
because I'm just that cool
WIP junk airboat thing inspired by Ian McQue's concept art. Sorry about the huge pic
In my opinion, the front part of the hull should be broken up into smaller pieces. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] Looks amazing though. Absolutely love the style.
