polygon distribution is, like what it says, where you put your polies
and it's weird because he's giving like 10 sides per hole and and spending 3-4 sides for bevels while major parts, like the pump, get a very few amount of polygons

idk if thats ur animation but the motions are really jerky and the timing for chambering a round after shooting is really weird. it's like the dude's shooting and cocking it at the same time. the reloading is really lacking any ambient movement.

I don't know if here is the right place to ask this, but I'm working in a project for anatomy and I need model a realistic 3d body. I will use Alyx as my 3d model. The body must be naked (this Alyx won't be used for gmod...talking seriously) and I don't want to change something on the body: the scale of alyx must be same, the face, the muscles...everything like the real model. It's like undressing Alyx, and I having dificulties to do that. Alyx also need to be bald.

It's way too sharp if you want to have it on a normal map, the second image shows how edgy and hard it becomes. If you loosen it up a bit might give it a bit smoother effect, even from further away.

Any tips on how to configure 3DS max to run highpoly stuff faster? Im trying to line up some high poly bricks along with my low poly bricks and it takes forever to move them around. I'm watching a tutorial and the guy is dragging them around like it is nothing so i'm figuring it's my PC. I'm running 12Gb DDR3, i7 930, HD6970. I'm currently running the nitrous renderer

Fuck me, imported them as seperate objects and that made max run so much smoother even though i've doubled the polycount...Max is weird.
run d3d nitrous is pretty but its pointless IMO
