The bobblehead Pz.IV is the original Panzer model, they didn't switch to the Ausf.H turret (which is the more historical model) until after patch 7.x iirc. The schmalturm was the norm for putting on the derp 105 or long 75 until they reorganized the tech tree and modules. The only way to get a schmalturm Panzer IV now is to buy the premium one which comes with the Long 75. This project started a fair time ago so I'm sure certain models won't be like they are now in 8.3
I understand that. What I'm asking is if it will get corrected. Rather, I was making the developer aware (assuming he/she/they still watch this thread) of an issue that should be addressed.
I know some tanks have been modified and I will fix them when I start porting again.

Alright. No worries. Just making sure it was known.
Are some of these models also in fbx or obj (or any other format) to use in Unity?
I'm trying to create a small tank game for a school project and what game has better tanks models then WoT?
I know this is the valve game section but i tought this is the thread to ask about it.
No news about the tanks ? :|
There are still not all the tanks which are said "done" (such soviet arties and the captured S35)... :(
I'll snag the new PzIV turret and etc. when I get home tonight. 8.4 is about to be released, and it includes UK TD's, a new USSR premium TD (SU-100Y, with a 130mm gun at Tier 6!), and a bunch of new German light tanks. They'll be on the (closed) SVN by tomorrow, BtZ.
By the way...every like sixth patch they "fix" some "modeling bugs" or "sizing errors" on a few tanks that have been in the game since day one or at least close to. Should I re-port the entire tech tree each time or try to just get the newest stuff?

I know! It's gonna be great! I honestly don't notice any sizing errors except for big honking obvious ones. If you want to, go for it but it's not a big thing for me. Looks matter more in this, and if it looks close enough it's good to go.
Would I have to re-DL everything to update it? I've never used SVN before.
SVN only downloads things that don't match the "master copy," which is the repository. So if nothing has actually changed, the models won't even be updated, and your SVN client won't download anything but any new models BtZ may have added.
For reference, I'm the guy who converts the WoT models to Wavefront .obj format, which BtZ can then work with in 3Ds Max to put into GMod. Converting them to .obj preserves the UVW perfectly; however, there are a few "wtf" moments, such as the fact that the tracks and guns always import into my program with their normals flipped (i.e. inside-out geometry x.X). Simple to fix, but annoying.
Maybe someday some static props could be obtained as well like sailboats, roadside props, trains, etc. After the tanks of course.

Easily done; I'll convert a bunch of those tonight too.
Ok. I downloaded it thru the tortoise program. open Gmod and nav to the folder and get this:

This is an issue with the folder names and the Legacy Addons...er...addon. Not entirely sure how to fix it on my end, but you can just rename the main folder (mine's called "tanks") and that should clear up that issue.
Does it do it automatically or do I need to tell it to?
You need to tell it to update manually, but the rest is automatic.
Also, edited above post with an answer to one of your earlier questions.

Alright.
While on the topic of the static models, I just wanted to ask if it's possible to keep UV maps for multiple materials. I've recently been porting buildings like the bunkers; however, most of the urban buildings have multiple textures assigned to them.
I think the new tool is able to keep more then 1 UV map.
The tool I use has always been able to do that; it converts the models based on how many separate sections there are and keeps each section's UVW's intact. I have had issues in the past with the UVW's being flipped vertically, but that's a pretty damn easy fix.
I mean the destroyed body didn't keep the inside damage texture. I had to select it by hand. Took about 30 min each tank.
That's weird. Maybe I accidentally welded some verts somewhere that I shouldn't have...I'll reconvert all the tanks once 8.4 hits, since that'll include the absolute latest models. They're changing my favorite light tank, the Luchs, up a tier and giving it a new gun.
How do I install this? Or doesn't it work for garry's mod 13 yet?
^ Just extract the pack, and then put the materials/models folders in Steam/Steammaps/Yourusername/Garrysmod/Garrysmod and overwrite it. Atleast that's how I do it, or you can use Legacy Addon which I have no idea to use.

One of these days I'll get around to making a GMod13 spawnlist for this pack...Until then, either use the Legacy Addons addon or do as theobod said and put the models into the main GMod folder.
Nah, I really don't need a spawnlist. I just have to learn to use Legacy addons!
I'm saying in general; if this is a current addon you shouldn't need "Legacy" Addons to use it.
I've been swamped by homework lately...8.4 has released, so I'll get the tanks ported and/or re-ported soon.
so how do I update? I tried the right click-SVN Update option, but it didn't add any files.
That's probably because nothing has changed in a while lol...
I got all the 8.4 US tanks over to .obj format last night, though I didn't do the destroyed models (yet). I'll start in on the British ones later today, maybe some French too. I'll try to have them all to BtZ by the end of the week. From there it's up to him how long it takes.
Ok I just wondered. lol I read he was going to fix it and got excited I guess.

Does that include the M48? Because I want that one for Army Men and Vietnam War poses.
If the Panzer I Ausf. C is ported, please could you add those skins ?
http://drongo-lab.ru/archives/category/germany/germany-light/pzi-ausf-c (the remodel included)
(except the last skin on bottom of the page, not very historical...)
I dunno.. I kinda like the last skin.
None of the German tanks are done yet; I'm working my way through the British line.

Ok thanks anyway :)
