Hey i noticed in the SVN beta that the commando SNPC was missing the model .... is that released yet ?
Here's something that everyone should say every now and then: Thank you

Where'd you get that?
A bit off topic, but very nice! Where'd you get that?
i converted them ripping models from RC, and repositioning to bf2 pose :P i release them in GT forum
K SGG, tested your SVN stuff. There's some good work here, but, as you said, they're not done yet. The DC-15 is very nice, but it lags when there's more than 2 npcs using them, and sometimes the sound doesn't play. Also, it is quite a heavy rifle, me thinks it should do a bit more damage. The DL-44 has missing hand textures, and also npcs dont like using it. Probably because it uses pistol animations, and only metrocops can use those. The DC-15A is only in the npc weapons, and it doesn't spawn. The lightsaber is good actually, but I think it should pretty much be one hit one kill all the time. It's also kinda hard to aim with. Liked how it chops zombies in half though, and it sounds and looks good. The only snpcs I found were the stormtrooper and sandtrooper, and they wouldn't spawn :( I don't know if this is everything, I get the feeling my svn didn't download fully or something. You probably know all of this anyway, but it's just a bit of constructive feedback. Hoping to see some of this fixed soon, but not before some of you're awesome models are released - that death star gunner from a while back has just been sitting there for ages!
Not all the models are included in the svn. Only the small stuff.
Can you port General Grievous? Mabye this will help http://jediknight3.filefront.com/file/General_Grievous;43470
CR25 Dropship - To scale (it's fucking huge) LAAT Gunship Ragdolled parts, semi-detailed phymodel.
I see you're getting more stuff from RC then. These look awesome, I always wanted a new gunship model, the current one is absolute rubbish. Can't wait to see what else you take from RC, there's a lot of good models in there. One little question about the gunship though - semi-detailed phymodel? How will that affect the model, exactly? It's just that with the old gunship, it had a terrible 'invisble' block, stopping you from going inside, etc., and I'm just hoping that this one won't be like that. Here's hoping for a fully poseable and usable one. Anyway, still awesome work. Keep it up!
Trandoshans are probably up next.
Trandoshans are probably up next.
i am working on the heavy trando one :)
I sent him all the trandoshans(slaver, heavy, merc) with every attachment.
I sent him all the trandoshans(slaver, heavy, merc) with every attachment.
He doesn't model for Source, he models for Battlefront.
i am working on the heavy trando one :)
So, there is a way to port models from battlefront?
So, there is a way to port models from battlefront?
you mean extract model from BF2 or put models on him XD?
I mean being able to put them in a modeling program like 3ds max to be converted into a smd.
I mean being able to put them in a modeling program like 3ds max to be converted into a smd.
yeah converting msh to obj and importing obj into 3ds max :D
DC-15 Pistol, Normal fire and melee.
It's all looking great! Although, I must say, one thing that I would really like to see is Rosh Penin from Jedi Academy. I may have already asked, but I can't remember.
Are the Commandos Relased in the SVN ?
Are the Commandos Relased in the SVN ?
No, the SVN is for Sweps and SNPCs.
Ahh well thats a bit silly theres an Commando NPC in the SVN with no model.....
Ahh well thats a bit silly theres an Commando NPC in the SVN with no model.....
The SNPCs aren't perfect, they barely work. I need the help of a real Lua coder.
True but i do like the Sand Trooper
No, the SVN is for Sweps and SNPCs.
Whoa there's an SVN?
Whoa there's an SVN?
Yes
I never used SVN. I've been playing Gmod since early '07 but this whole SVN buisness has always confused me.
Its not confusing at all. All you do is install tortoise svn and make a new folder. Right click the folder and click svn checkout and paste the svn link into the URL of repository area. Then click ok. It should start downloading all the files. After it finsihes the folder should have a check mark next to it. Sometimes the person will update the svn, so you have to click right click the folder and click SVN Update. See, its not even hard.
I prefer to do it manually so I can remove stuff. I'm sure you can do that too, but now that I'm into my way of doing things I'm unlikely to stop.
