I'm looking into ways to rip from Star Wars: The Old Republic. There's a few vehicle models that I'm interested in, but unfortunately I haven't found a way to rip from the game yet. It also doesn't help that I had to reformat my hard drive and forgot to back up my tools...

Will someone please explain to me why when I try to go to Port the models from Star Wars Battlefront 2 the .lvl extractor won't run? It's really annoying.
I know the models are probably too low poly to even be worth anything but I still want to make use of them for background fill in my Star Wars animations.

Theres plenty of battlefront models Id like to get too,not all of them are useless and battlefront has some vehicles no other games have.

I agree 100% I have had very little luck finding some of the star-ship models particularly the Trade Federation Confederacy cruisers. I also think that even despite the low poly of the models that doesn't necessarily mean that the textures of those models suck.
For example: I feel like the textures of the Leia model from Kinect Star Wars kind of miss the mark in terms of actually looking like Carrie Fisher. But at first glance the textures on the Leia model from Battlefront 2 look spot on.

And even if the textures arent great,they are something that can be easily changed/upgraded with a little time in photoshop so the models just need to look right,which most of them do.

I know I am probably not going to be able to port the models myself, like I said before, for some reason the Sw bf2 lvl extractor has been refusing to cooperate with me. It seems that several applications on my computer started doing the same thing when I installed 3DS MAX 2012.
So at this point I am not sure what to do. Unfortunately asking plasmid to port the Battlefront 2 models is out of the question. He thinks if the models are lower poly then Jedi Knight Academy why bother?
Same can be said for the Wii version of Force Unleashed 1. There are a few models that are in the Wii version that aren't in the PC/Xbox/PS3 version that I would like to get my hands on but he doesn't seem to think TFU Wii is worth it either.
On the other hand (I think I may have posted this link here before but I'll upload it again because it looks like the user posted some more models there) I found some SWBF2 Custom Mod models in this link: Too bad not all the model are the ones I am after. I want the leader models, primarily.

captain sturn was corrupt, a lot of FU models are corrupt and cant be ported, jawas/tuskens/some imperial troopers
Kotor 2, kotortool cant extract player model costumes.
and as for the models in BF2 and wii TFU yes, why bother when there are high poly versions?
there ARE some ship models in BF2 but thats about the only good models worth getting. I disagree that the BF2 leia has a spot on face.. since its so blurry, youd be better off retexturing the kinect model if you were going to be doing a retexture.

I don't know if the models in the link I posted above are rigged or not but they are there.
I'm probably just going to use actual pictures of the actors and actress' for re-textures since I have so many on my computer. Found those pics on tumblr. Still between the TFU Models you ported and the ones I found there on sketchup, (I did confirm for sure that they are from the same source) I've got all TFU Models except for Endor. Maybe someday... I guess. No pun intended.
I'm going to be doing some 3D Modeling of my own here in the near future for another non-GMod related project related to "Space Battles.com" and I may post the models here. Or start up my own thread since I'm dealing with Star Trek characters as well.
plasmid is going to be offline for a while so, that is why we won't be seeing any activity on his request thread. He said to me in a PM that he'll be back online with a new models line probably after Christmas. I know it's a long wait but trust me patience pays off.
As for the models he already ported I took a look at the Han Solo model from Kinect Star Wars and I am still debating this but maybe I'll use screencaps that I have taken to retexture it to look more like TFU2 Han Solo. Again I am still debating this. I have alot of different things I could possibly use for retextures and for customs.
Just in case anyone is interested. I saw on one of this person's posts on their DeviantArt page that TRDAZ from Tombraiderforums is working on porting some more models from Clone Wars Adventures to put them into XNALara. I am excited for this release because Cyborg Darth Maul and Savage Oppress are on TRDAZ's release plan.
Just thought I'd bring this to your guys' attention.
I used Neosis today to convert the Hapslash Leia ANH model from the Knights of the Force Mod to OBJ. I don't think I'll bother with the other Leia models except for maybe the Jedi one since Metal Bikini Leia, Hoth Leia, Endor Leia, and Bespin Leia were in plasmid's TFU2 and Kinect SW Packages.
Which came to me as a surprise. That the Hoth and Bespin Leia models were there. I've searched through the entirety of Kinect Star Wars and the only time you actually see her in in-game is in Jabba's palace dance off. Maybe they were just extra models that didn't make it into in-game but the developers never bothered to write them off of the disc. More for us Gmod modelers. :)

That is mostly half or more of workshops content then. Everything ive seen is made by someone else but posted up there by someone who "wanted to share"
