Wow there are too many comments to read them all so I'll just post some other useful stuff for skinning. Sorry if someone might have already posted these. [url]http://brandsoftheworld.com[/url] As the title says, it contains Vector Logos in ESP format, you might(not completely sure) need Illustrator to change them to an AI file format for easier use in photoshop. Great for Skinning Props. [url]http://www.crazybump.com/[/url] Create normal maps, displacement maps, and fake occlusion maps from any image, also has a pretty useful mixing option so you can have a real normal map and then mix it with a regular black and white texture to create wear, tear and aging. Pretty cool stuff. Used by many well know gaming companies and 3D artists. Well, hope that helps someone. Cheers.
you do not need VTFtoTGA you can use Vtf Editor to export as a TGA and you can load a tga in Vtf Editor and save as a vtf
Ok I've made my new Alyx skin, and saved it as a vtf. but how does I apply the texture. How do I replace the old alyx texture with the new one? (Dont worry I've taken back up of the old Alyx) Please answer, I really need to know this.
Alright, I've made a citizen skin, but when I open it up in garrysmod, the model is invisible, but the head remains.
I edited a skin using Photoshop and the VTF plugin and it's only a VTF, but when I went into Gmod and went to the folder and browsed, I couldn't find it. People said to hex but I didn't understand it.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the speechbubbles. [img]http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/9369/zsplague0026copyck2.jpg[/img] The tutorial had some missing pictures. When making the double speech bubble, How do you make the second one attached to the connector? The only way I could do it here, is because the point is near enough. But I know in the future I won't be so lucky.
