Those are cutscene models, so their textures are in a way higher resolution, and are probably arranged differently. Not to mention, the method used to get them was probably way different.

It's still surprising that he got Sam like that, though.[/QUOTE] the only cutscenes sam shows in realtime is on the train fight and before the monsoon fight, still a render can do wondors for a regular model, and again all the cutscenes are pre rendered, on the PS3 version if you remove the videofiles you got yourself a 5.5GBish game...

In the event that I acquire the models of Raiden and Sam--and if they don't have the sheath/swords--would someone be willing to nab the weapons and send them over to me?
I sort of have a question that I don't think anyone's addressed When one rips Raiden or Sam, I notice their head pieces are missing (Raiden's visor on his cutscene model, Sam's faceguard on both the ingame, and cutscene model). Are the head attachments separate, or just not there?
most likely seperate, This is what I've learned over the past few days: Most stuff that's individually animated like the visor's of raiden and sam, are loose from the regular model. Things that can be cut are usually the same, for instance Mistral's arms, and let's say sundowners shield thing. from a game dev standpoint its understandable seeing simple objects requir animation you just "redefine" them as a model on it's own because that way you can have multiple people work on the same model.

I don't think the models are really from the cutscenes... aren't they just videos? Maybe that guy just ripped the normal models and made a render using them. We can't see if the those models really have "high resolution" because the pictures he posted are small... As frankaster said, it's possible to make cool renders using low-poly/"low-textures" models. You just need to know how to do it correctly :P

Plus most people would love to do it themselves instead of handing them to others ;)
