Whether or not Mario releases the models or a script for extracting them, the ONLY things PMing him or stressing how badly you need/want them here will accomplish is making you appear impatient and discouraging Mario. In other words, nothing you say or do will speed him up. If anything, it will slow or stop him.
So please, knock it off. Just say thanks and give him a winner or optimistic tag on his posts. Then find something productive to do with you time. Thanks.

Well in most 3d oriented forums you show your work to show how much better you have become.
its been done quite offen even in settings like these (for instance ZEQ2 and ESF).
People showed off their skill and other people could reply on it.
What I'm curious of though, is how one could be "abusive" with such resources.

No because this is his usual routine, post some stuff and get people excited then make up a really dumb excuse not to share them, it's like a small child basically saying "look at all these cool toys I got and you can't play with them".

Well, there's no denying that it's a very blue-bally thing to do. But stating this doesn't get us the models any quicker. The way I figure it, if I was truly heartbroken over it, I would learn to reverse engineer models myself. This was the same way I learned to rig and mod... I got tired of helplessly asking others to make mods for me and I did the needed reading and research to learn myself.
But since I haven't taken those steps to be able to do what he does, I must not care that much. Don't get me wrong, I'd love that gray fox as much as anyone here, but I'm a big boy. Mario at least has shown us the models are obtainable.

Pisses me off when people do something like this. Show off, then to hell with everyone else. Heck I even offered to pay for some of the models, with no luck. That offer still stands.

Was looking forward to those models. I personally didn't want to have a model from MGR, just Sam's badass sword and sheathe. Okay, maybe I'm lying to myself a little, maybe a Raiden model too.

Learn how to reverse engineer file formats yourself if you want them so badly or wait for someone to make tools, or just deal with not having them ever.
It seems like no one ever uses half the ports in this section anyways, and even then half the time its some shitty troll pose or lul so randumb video with shit editing.

They do, you just dont see them being used. Besides.. 90% of the models in this section are random soldiers from random FPS games (or the occasional citizen headhack). Either way I know that a whole lot of people would love any of the MGS models to be released so we can.. y'know.. make MGS scenes and shit. So far everything MGS related as never been released or at least ported to gmod and people are afraid to release female models because theres a slight chance we'd only use them for sex? I'm pretty sure women can do other things!

Not everyone has the time and patience to learn or do this.
Flaunting shit to a bunch of people who were anticipating a model release and then saying "Nah I'm not releasing, I never planned to, and you guys made me cry so you'll never have them!" is a pretty shit thing to do. Why bother showing them at all?

But when you purposely do this shit, knowing you'll get a negative reaction, you should soon enough expect backlash from the people that are actually interested in these models. Not everyone has the time and patience to learn how to rip from Xbox games, nor do we all own an Xbox. PS3 games are impossible to port from, at least to my knowledge.
