Janooba - second image, by blocky we don't men square, we mean lacking detail. Those walls need detail they are far too bare. Poster decals or similar would help, but it's getting there. Also you need to use smoothing groups across all those round faces to make the lighting more even across them.
Oh man I was just looking at smoothing groups last night. I have no idea how to use them/what they do exactly.
I'm going to guess that a higher smooth number makes it smoother?
Not so to my knowledge.
Basically each number under the smoothing groups menu represents a different smoothing group. All faces applied to the same number smoothing group will have the lighting effectively smoothed over them, removing the "sharp" lines edges that you can see in that second picture of the outside room.
The numbers don't have anything to do with them as far as i know. They are just ID's.

If you think about it, if you scare off all of the newbies there will be no more mappers because everybody starts out as a n00b. Who ever opened hammer and mastered it in 5 minutes... Nobody. See what I mean? I'm not trying to start shit or anything by the way. I'm just stating my point.

I was saying we scare of the people that can't take the criticism and whine over it. There are noobs that will use it to improve.

I'm excited. When a Janoobacity2009_betav1 will be released, it will have lots of downloads... I'm sure of it. It's big and nice.
