Been looking through the pack in hammer, and haven't been able to find a specific door. Did you end up porting this door by chance?

And if you did, do you know its model name offhand?
Is there a separate model for a turret with it's "flaps" open, or is it a bodygroup?

It's called vert_door, I really wanted that it, but it has the same model name as the sliding vertical doors from the first Portal, so it conflicts with it and the textures mess up. I tried hexing it, and it worked fine in modelviewer, but it refused to spawn in Garry's mod and kept giving me errors.
I'll re-port it this afternoon and just upload it as a replacement if you want. The door it overwrites is pretty unremarkable.
And Hunterdnc, sadly there isn't. The only way to get the flaps to open that i know of is by model manipulating one onto a turret NPC, then getting it to shoot something.
That would be perfect. If you're referring to the door that I think you are, you're right, it was pretty bland. This door on the other hand could have so many uses...

Here's the door, it'll overwrite the portal 1 model if you just place it in your garrysmod folder, or if you put it in the folder for whichever game you're mapping with if it's for mapping.

what is the likelihood of getting a Portal 2 texture pack as well? I tried to get them out...but none of them show up correctly in Episode 2 so I'm lost...

How did you get them to work in 3ds max? I'm trying to do the Space Core for the Sandman ball but no success as of yet. Gimme a bone here.

Under the materials/models/npc/personality_spheres directory of the VPK
also download the latest GCFScape it has VPK support.
Also you'll need to go to the common files directory of your steam account to access it.
It should be the bottom VPK. You know, the one that's named pak01_dir.vpk
Under this directory
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2
or
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2
on a 32 bit computer.
Well, I knew that much, but thanks for showing its directory. Now just have to find a way to make it usable.
