I downloading the pack but I only found object files of the characters not models. Is there any way to turn a object into a model in using autodesk maya?

You do realize that the .OBJ files ARE the models, right?

When i pull it up in autodesk maya it comes up as a wire frame and not a mesh. I am used to using mesh models.

If it's showing up as a wire frame, then that's something you need to change in Maya. These models have a mesh, so you shouldn't be having any issues.

they looked way more reptilian in H4, and i enjoyed the way their jaws flowed when they spoke. plus, the extension of the jaws made them look alien as hell, they looked like something that would end you in a manner that was slow and painful, something that would make you insane on your death bed. the ones in the MCC look like a lobster offering free hugs
i saw a couple of pages back that a halo 4 pelican had been ripped for someone but the link had been removed.. i have tried using the one released as a batch load from halo 3 but i am having serious issues with its textures not rendering in certain circumstances and as i am making a mod rather than a game there is not much i can do... would anyone beable to rip a pelican model and textures for me? preferabley one from halo 3 or older, the traditional pelican but a halo 4 one will do.. Just download the maps and use Adjutant to extract it yourself, it's not that difficult. You can easily find Adjutant through a Google search, and there's two links on the second-to-last page in over in the main Halo porting thread.

It hasn't been ported, but the files can still be extracted from the multiplayer maps.
Well, this is really cool, because it is all of the Halo 4 stuff in .obj files. But, I use Blender for 3D animations/rendering and such, and I was wondering how I would texture the models. I don't know how to do this, especially because some of the textures are in strange colors, which look like infrared images or the images that are taken from microscopes. Specifically, I am trying to texture the forerunner sniper rifle. But, I expect some level of difficulty because the actual gun model is two separate parts. If anyone can help with an example or link a tutorial that would be useful.

Its about 90% done. I just need tweak some textures and stuff. Thanks for the offer though. I'll hit you up later cause I had to abandon the Broadsword because I got unknown errors compiling that model. even though I've done nothing different than anything else I ported. I could use some help figuring that out.

Yeah, the Broadsword can be a bit of a tit when compiling. I'd be willing to help with that one too.

I don't think it was lumped into that thread because it wasn't very active at the time that this was originally posted. Plus, this thread was more or less intended to be used as a resource thread, whereas the other one doubles as both a resource thread and a WAYWO thread.
