Pistol Model Invisible Bloo
Whats the MEANING OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UGH I KNOW WHY iNVISBLE
In the file there are 6 files for the pistol it is missing the .phy one look
v_pistol. whatever
except v_pistol.phy
Bloo reupload and look in the folder for the phy File
its a v_model they don't have a .phy (as they are effects)

So let me get this straight, so far we have v_models for
-RPG
-Pistol
-AR2 replacement
-SMG1 replacement
So all we need now is the shotgun, correct me if i'm wrong :3
Also, as a suggestion I think we need to reskin them for higher res after we get all the model porting from world to view finished.
Please release the ar3 viewmodel!

Im quite tired of people trying to look smartass.Phy is created by compiler on default, and is useless since as said, its effect.It does not serve as physics.Though indeed it could be used so(to be used in Mirrors Edge manner), but its not in Hl2 and all other episodes.The only cause of invisible can be-difference in how your gmod configured OR no Ep2(yes thats a error since it uses different range for its models, making them unable to be loaded in HL2 BUT you can load default models), and the other reasons-its only something on your side.Developer, as long as it works properly for the main part of community, does not have to appeal to every single person.Because thats impossible without modifying skin too much.

Huh, i've never seen one on a v_model and i've downloaded loads (and the original HL2 weapons don't have them either, as they arn't needed).

My compiler (Studiomdl) doesn't make them unless you define a collision model in the qc @.@ and i'm not sure what you mean with the Mirror's Edge thing, could you explain please? :)

Mirrors Edge thing-you could basically animate hands and attach them to model(model-think of that Legs addon)and use hitboxes to count hits too, so for example, if the V-'s hands stand out of corner and combine shoots at them-you can get hit.It needs to be coded in properly and i dont think Lua allows that(and to top it, its very hard in HL2 so most likely most of mods/games will use player models.They are far easier to code in hitboxes then V_ models).
StudioMDL is what i use too.But there is one of the compilers that is useing redone HL1 compilers code fitted for HL2 which creates every piece of model, and phy is one of those pieces.
Alot of models [i]do[/i] need a .phy file, like NPC gun models, ragdolls and other props. But models ,like v_ models and skybox models, don't need .phy file, because they don't have to be spawned and moved around.
I finally managed to fix the models, apparently I hexed wrong the last time, anyway
THEY ARE SEX.
(Apart from the pistol, which faces left, instead of forward, so you don't actually see this without ironsights, could be troublesome when doing an aimable gun..)
Could you remove the reloading sound for the AR3?

Hey, is there any way I (or someone else) could make these weapon models work in HL2 and EP1, not just Ep2? Because they're pretty damn epic!
The world models are really fucking cool dude, that's fucking amazing.
DEAR GOD! We need a hex on those improved Combine pronto. Talk about epic models, I fucking wish I could use the hunter shine on the hunter combine.

Eh, I'm having a small issue, I tried to put these in obsidian conflict, but some of the parts are untextured (black & pink squares) I do have episode 2 / 1 and half life 2, and they are mounted, yet it doesn't appears?
I'm gonna test on synergy / gmod now
-Works on gmod, onward to synergy...
-Works fine on synergy, basically it only bugs on obsidian, obviously, the game I wanted it not to bug on.. :l
