Forgot to mention, the model is a bit naff so probably using a crunch model (possibly tiny's model aswell) from another game might be a good idea.
I just think it's very great to see someone making Crash Bandicoot models for once, I haven't been here most of the time but just a quick question: Are you certain that the models ARE for Gmod?

as much as i hate to say it.....he is right.i cant help but think can you honestly get them into gmod @ youmadbrah. you keep mentioning how these models are messed up and they need other models to surport them and there "naff" etc etc and how un suitable they are in condition. which leaves me to the fact. if your gonna port them to gmod. HOW will you do it with all these problems you are running into to?

For one, its not me who's porting and rigging them across into Gmod, TheLombax51 (who did an excellent job of rigging Dingodile and Evil Crash) is currently doing it. It's not gonna be a quick process as, for starters, rigging a character is long and complex work that has to be done when we have free time.
And two, i say the models are not great geometry and texture wise, although this is just my personal opinion. When ripping the models, they come out with alot of problems that need fixing. e.g. Bad UV mapping that doesn't fit anymore, flipped faces and un-welded vertex's. This all takes alot of my free time to do to make these look as best as possible for porting across, which is hard to achieve most times as each texture is around 32x32 pixels each, and trying to re-map them is tough to do.
Its also hard to get a decent rip most of the time for a character or object, as the ripping program takes pretty much a 3D screenshot of objects from the players POV. Most of the time the rips come out all skewed as well as being deformed on the Y-axis which is a pain to correct to get them into a decent enough pose for T-posing and rigging.
I'm just saying that considering the models are from a PS2 game released in 2004, they are obviously not going to be amazing, geometry and texture wise. To be honest, if you don't like them the way and speed they're being done at, I don't really care, cause I don't have to do this if I don't want to.
Plus you say you wanted to contribute towards this project, yet i'm still waiting for you to send me the turtle model you wanted me to fix up add to the pack...
Why not try the Xbox version?
Might get different results.

As far as i'm aware of, there's no decent way to get models from original xbox games.

I don't mean any personal offence to anyone, its just frustrating that a lot of people keep asking when its going to be released and not bothering to actually read the other posts.
It's a lot of hard work to do when there's only around 2-3 people, including myself, doing this.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here. I was just curious if anyone plans on releasing these models (once they are finished) on the Steam Workshop?
Thanks!

Please read the previous posts, it'll say there.
Ok thanks!
Great Job to everyone by the way! The models look incredible!
Is it possible ripping Twinsanity levels? Like Acadamy of Evil and Iceberg Lab?
Is it possible ripping Twinsanity levels? Like Acadamy of Evil and Iceberg Lab?
It'll be near impossible to do, Even just getting regular models is a pain. Sorry.
Hey! it's me again.
Hope I'm not being too much of a bother.
But is it ok if I request a model to be added to the pack?
I'm sure someone will put it in the pack but I just thought I'd ask to be sure.
can someone port and add the Spyro the Dragon Model from Twinsanity to the pack?
One more thing, I know these models are going to be for gmod but will they be available for Source Filmmaker too?
P.S. Thank you guys for taking time out of your busy lives to make these! I really appreciate it!
Thanks!

Spyro the Dragon is possible to rip, i mean A Hero's Tail ones. i knew there is extractor around, but i never been try out yet. there is a same model that you seen in Twinsanity, i believe so.
also, i had saw that someone had port Spyro on Source Filmmaker or Source Games (even Crash Bandicoot stuff, try search on Youtube) but they kinda private some reason.
Cool!
Thanks! I think that the Spyro model will make a great addition to the pack!
Maybe when you guys finish with the Twinsanity Model Pack, you guys can work on Spyro A Hero's Tail pack? but I'm sure that won't be for awhile.
I'm glad you guys know how to rip models and stuff, I'm not smart enough to do it myself. Haha.
Thanks again for the time and effort put into this! I know this is a lot of work! I look forward to getting to play around with these models once they are finished!
Also wanted to say I love your YouTube videos! They always make me smile!
hi to you all,
Dear YouMadBrah i found your awesome package consisting large amount of goodies which was posted in page 2 of this tread, its my question: is there any following package? i think many other characters are missing but i saw you have already ripped them. im done with potoroo and koala kong (ihave modeled them by self) but i need to rig tiny tiger and thats big and hard mesh not tiny :D

Hey that's actutally a good idea! I think I saw Spyro and Sparx's models on models resource already.

Thank you! Spyro and Crash have always been a favorite of mine.
maybe some can like add to the current growing Twinsanity Pack,
or create a new pack with Spyro, Sparks, Gnasty Gnorc, Hunter, the Professor...etc. that would be really cool!
I'm super excited for these once they get put on the Steam Workshop!
I wish I could contribute to this in some way, but again,
I just don't have the skills to rip and port and all the other things you
guys have to do to these models. so someone else is going to have to do Spyro and etc. Sorry.

Hey man. i'm currently doing the rest of them, e.g. Pinstripe, Tiny, Polar and Papu Papu, but there taking a while, as i gotta do them when i got some free time. If you say you've done Pinstripe and Koala Kong, you could send them to me to add to the pack? That's if you want to that is, it would awesome and save me a massive amount of time.
Also here's an update of what i've managed to get done in the past few days. Rebuilt all of Pinstripe and Oxide and re-mapped most of them, although there's still some missing textures i need to get and re-map. Had to sorta T-pose Pinstripe myself as his geometry was awful around his shoulders and armpits which would of been a pain to re-map without fixing. There's some visible texture seams on the main body of Pinstripe which i couldn't really avoid, tried hiding them best i could on the model. E.g. under his arms.

unfortunately there is no Compatibility between them and Tsanity! I've modeled them acording PS1 Series plus i dont spent much time for them.
as you know ps1 meshes cant be ripped, there is no z-buffer!

i know how hard it is to mapping twinsanity frenzy mapped models.
maybe it will be better to rigging them at first and then it would be easy to deforming models to standard position like T-pose
im already done with nitrus brio (from your pack) rigging and face poses in blender and it helps me to reverse ripped pose to default
i dont know if Valve *.Smd supports vertex weights to exporting rigged meshes to Max for you i have not ripped anything from ps2 emulators yet and i dont know what can be wrong with ripped uv maps!?
i appreciate your Efforts, they will be used repeatedly not only in Mods but also at fun animations

Hey there, your models are looking great. I have found a method of extracting the original models from the first game and I am working at the moment on Crash's model. Check out my thread if you haven't already, going to work on more characters soon.

Wow! That would be awesome! Spyro a Hero's tail and maybe even some Enter the Dragonfly models would be so cool!
It seems someone has a Ripto model from Enter the Dragonfly, along with Uka Uka from Twinsanity and a few others but I guess he isn't making them public:

I think it's great that you guys are putting this on the Steam Workshop for everyone! I'm sure a lot of people (including myself) will appreciate it!
