Yup I got them out from the browser. Ill do a better screenshot showing everything. Minus the ones that are missing textures or the Hunter & Elite.

NPC ready.
Marine animations are used for a lot of characters in Halo 1, so those are as good as done too. Also Elites are being made.

I tried it on Garry's Mod 13. Only models work properly, since the new lua system is incompatible, for the most part, with older addons. To make them load on GM13, you'd need Legacy Addon Browser, and you would have to rename 'Info.txt' to 'Addon.txt' for each individual folder included.

I'm hard at work on this pack, I've gotten a couple scenery objects ported as well as all the ragdolls that use the marine animations. They all have the original skeleton, lods, collision, color masks, and bodygroups that they had in Halo Combat Evolved. The Crewmem are colorable with the color tool (uniform color) and the cubemap issue on HDR maps is fixed forever. (VMT's fallback when hdr is detected, still trying to figure out how to make HDR cubemap vmt files[highlight]![/highlight])
I haven't made any real progress on making these into working NPCs, not because it's not possible but because I lack the experience necessary to make accurate functional npcs that user the marine animation graph. If anyone would like to volunteer to help me with this I'd appreciate it[highlight]![/highlight] Along with the models I'm porting from CE I'm also porting some multiplayer maps.

Banshee, if you're still taking requests, I have the ripped Halo 3 Phantom in MAX format I believe. I don't know much about getting beyond that point and into source, so if you'd be as kind, I'd love you forever.

Okay, I get that. I just figured I'd actually put some effort towards going partway rather than just spitting out requests here and there. I find it strange that you always speak for the entire Halo model ripping community with such hostility, though, it's hard to interpret tone through text.
And another thing; why is it that porters always keep to themselves in such a shady way? I mean, sure, I can understand porting models for their own use, but submitting images of apparently-final versions that still have yet to surface anywhere on the internet? I've seen posts from as early as 2010 that contain images of multiple models ported to source with some decent-looking shaders. I don't get the "they're not finished yet" excuses. Does it really take three years?
what? I released my entire addons folder, which only had stuff I made in it. It's still up on the link at the top of the page. Anything else is probably still in my ep2 folder (where i put models before they go to gmod) Anything I did before this year I've dropped to start over and improve.
I wasn't nescessarily referring to you. Just the majority of those who port Halo models tend to do that. I can understand it from Civil, he's a busy man, and theres more to life than GMod. That goes for everyone. I just really don't get the three-year things.
Well, speaking from experience. Its probably more of a "not finished" thing, and/or they lose interest in working on the specific thing and end up not coming back to it till much later. Also a bit of what Banshee said about improving on something that you know can be better; the more you port from halo, the more errors you [I]seemingly[/I] discover with your work lol (from my own experience and from others in the halo community that i chat with).
Just because something looks good from a screenshot or two, doesn't mean the porter is happy with it, or that it doesn't have some issues that you can't actually see.

Fair enough. Some news would be fantastic though. Most of us don't like being left in the dark for long periods of time, especially when all we can do is ask for progress reports and then get flamed by the authors for 'rushing' them (which, I'll admit, a good portion of us have done/still do.).
