Hello again, No the tow truck does not work, it only drives. You can rope vehicles to the tow truck, you could do that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the current version of VCMod on CoderHire is the old version of VCMod but fixed for Garry's Mod 13. The newer version, which is currently in development and nearing completion is almost a whole new addon, even know it's the same sort of thing and by the same developer, the freemmaann. I believe it's being called VCMod2 and does not have an approximate release date yet but when it does get released, it will be free and available on the Steam Workshop + svn (most likely).

On the other hand, to address michaelevil's question about the functioning of the tow truck hook, that can be done without VCMod. You could quite easily make an entity for it and set it up so it's attached to the vehicle although that would require some lua knowledge so I'm not sure if your up for that.
If I've said anything incorrect here, please let me know because I don't want to be giving out false information although I'm pretty sure what I've said here is correct.
When VC mod is released I will add support for it. Also about the tow truck.. I usually just use a winch from it to the car I am towing.

I don't know which cars this camelot fella ported but I know that Sickness ported the majority of the current pack.
Anywho, have some screenshots of a possible update sometime in the future. Lazy, so just linking to steam now.

A few changes are subtle in nature but some of the more extensive ones consist of normal map fixing (looking at you, Stockade), extensive phong shader alterations (now it's not a hideous blue - whoever thought that was a good idea needs to be shot.), envmap changes and albedo changes.
Most notably is the changing of the base colours (black, blue, green, red & yellow), so they're a bit brighter and saturated, and black is actually black now, rather than grey.

yea i forgot that sickness had cars done himself
still, asking for ports from GTA 5 is a little subtle

Camelot ported a few cars at the very beginning. The rest were done by me. I have the files for each car that I extracted myself.

Click the vmt's for the tow. The vtf's it references may not be in the tow folder. They make link to say the police car's folder as that is where the color vtf is. It is a bit of a mess this way but save me from having the same texture in more than one folder. The vmt's to check are the vehicle_generic_smallspecmap ones.

It is a SVN. You need a SVN client like tortisesvn. Google it there is tutorials.

I've tried googling a bit but all the cars we spawn seem to be nocollided (to everything except the world) and are not drivable. They all have their frontwheels pointing to the left, any chance anyone here knows that's going wrong?

Finally got around to updating the svn a bit. Thanks to SentryGunMan all cars should now be colorable when set to the white skin. Each car has one its usually the second skin.

Is that a new WIP map? Looks really clean looking?
It might be a nice feature to give some idea of the size of the svn, so folks won't wonder why it takes several hours to download and install. In actual time, it took maybe 20 minutes for this one.
An SVN is a format used to transfer content and keep it up to date and maintained without having to constantly upload a new version all the time, it is a far better method for a "WIP" (Work In Progress).
If you still want to know more, check out TortoisSVN, it's pretty easy to use.
