Sorry for the bump but the .smd files of the spaceman character pack can't be opened (which is too bad since rigged models would've been so helpful).
I wish I knew of a way to open the SMD'S, but at the moment, I am uploading the vehicles. The textures for the reticles in WeaponPack02 have messed up colours is there a way to fix them Thanks

So what exactly is wrong with the .smd files that Cannonfodder's smd importer and noesis can't open them.

(1-2 years but still new). But you can convert them to a RGBA texture and they should work fine. Tbh I've not confirmed they are bc6 or bc7 (dx11 formats) but the block sizes suggest either bc3,bc5,bc6 or bc7. If you open it as bc3 or bc5 it looks messed up meaning it's likly to be bc6 or bc7 unless they are retards and decided to hash the data of random bc5 images for shits and giggles.

Those smds are really frustrating. Oh original game rigging... so near yet so far.
well, the reason for it being so near is because the engine is fairly dated. if you look at some of the environments they lack any detail and use many shortcuts to save on processing power..
Char_Bodies_02 > body_elias_wood_shotgun_a - model won't load, obj is only 1kb and without textures.
.obj format for the characters are pretty useless for me and I don't have maya to open the .ma files to get the rigged models. I'm just frustrated that the .smd can't be opened by noesis or max. So near yet so far.

So then you can just export them yourself :)

I plan To re release the smds again.
