yeah, that pic will probably showcase it well enough
Chaos Thunderhawk

Chaos Deimos pattern tanks

the extra decorated Chaos tanks are limited to the following three Legions, with explanations why
Emperor's Children - prissy bastards, embraced Slaanesh very quickly
Word Bearers - zealots, the original hardcore Chaos followers
Night Lords - terror experts, probably somewhat spiky to begin with
Alpha Legion - maybe
not available to the rest, because
World Eaters - not fully corrupted until after the Battle of Terra
Death Guard - distrustful of the daemonic
Iron Warriors - practicality and durability before looks, not all that big fans of Chaos
Sons of Horus - loyal more to the Warmaster than to Chaos
Thousand Sons - not egyptian enough, didn't show up before Terra and looked loyal on Prospero
Alpha Legion - maybe
the Legions that do not use the fully Chaos'd tanks will nevertheless get "Traitor" versions of their vehicles, which will essentially be the same thing without the Chaotic trim detail and daemonic visages
spikes, blades and chains available to both branches
Chaos tanks will later be available to all post-Heresy Chaos Space Marine forces. Deimos, Fellblade and Sicaran series vehicles will be limited to the original nine Legions.

this is the last Space Marine battle tank i make, then i'll move on to the tweaking phase - which i'm mostly done with already anyway. i've already declared the standard Rhino and the Deimos Rhino finished, and both Thunderhawk types too, so when it comes to vehicles i have to make the Stormraven, Fire Raptor, Sicaran Tank and Horus Heresy era Land Raider deformable, and make Traitor versions of the latter three, and also of the standard Land Raider. i'll have to check how the Bike is doing - might have to redo the sidecar but that's no biggie - and after that the vehicles should be all done.
after that i can turn my attention to the Dreadnoughts. they're done for the most part, but still need a few more features.
Fellblade and Falchion, conveniently in one model

i most likely won't make the Glaive variant
[editline]20th September 2015[/editline]
are you peeps okay with the superheavies - Fellblade/Falchion, Baneblade, Shadowsword/Stormblade - not being deformable? after all, nothing short of a Titan stepping on the things would really crumble them, and i want to get this shit released before doomsday
I would like it, but common sense abides.
I've just finished skimming this thread and I can't even find the words to express how blown away I am by Joazzz's and others commitment and talent. Keep up the FANTASTIC work :D
i'm making some special stuff for the Space Wolves at this point, since i must test certain armor pieces and they need a lot of extra bits to look right
in the meantime, have this land raider MK2B, the modern land raider's precursor used during the Horus Heresy

the sponsons aren't 100% correct, but i didn't feel like rigging new doors just for this one. besides, i'm running out of diffuse sheet space here.

Do you have an estimate for how big the final download will be? Judging from all of these pictures, it looks like it'll be atleast over 4GB.
oh yeah it's going to be huge alright, i'll give more concrete info on that once the Legions/Chapters really start piling up
i'm going to put the normal maps (those are huge), weapons and other general files shared between all the models in a separate "base file" sort of download, and then upload the Chapter skins as separate addons. or maybe i'll put a few in a pack, with each pack having a First Founding Legion and a few of their most important Successor Chapters. i haven't decided on that yet.
wolfity wolf wolf motherfucker

i'll take care of the squad type skingroups soon
Man i wish you could do some fenrisian wolves as well, that would be so badass.
i will
MK4 armor

there's one other Legion that had a very unique and customised look to their armor; when i'm done with the Wolf bits i'll have to move on to the Thousand Sons. they need custom pauldron edges, helmet decorations and some torso pieces
[editline]25th September 2015[/editline]
i love mixing and matching Terminator armor, here's Indomitus pattern from the time of the Heresy

My god yes, the helmet of the middle one
I love it
oh yes i will be using it later with something else
the helm in the middle looks like something i would see on a grey knight. Over all, awesome job!
it's a copy of the Grey Knight Paladin (terminator) helm and i'll use it later with the Knights
Heresy era Chaplains

final Librarian

They're all pimping so hard...
terminator-armored techmarine
illegal in game rules, cool in my book

[editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
i'm not planning to make Chapter-specific models of the Terminator Techmarine, Apothecary, Chaplain and Librarian
there will be exceptions, of course, like the Deathwing.
Apothecary Dreadnoughts when?
those are a thing?
i suppose it makes sense, what with Chaplain dreadnoughts and Blood Angels Librarian dreadnoughts also being around
[editline]27th September 2015[/editline]
even more pimp strutting

I think they indeed are/were a thing, at least in fluff because there was never rules or official model for them. They only had this funny drill thing to extract geneseed.
well i'll consider it. they're probably so rare though that i'm not sure if i should bother
Chaplain Dreadnoughts and Librarian Dreadnoughts (for the Blood Angels) i'll most definitely make
Apothecary in Terminator armor

Aww, I really hoped for "Stand still Brother, I am going to fix you!" Dreadnought waving huge saws and drills around.
It didn't even occur to me that apothecaries went out in terminator armor.
i know one chapter that fields Terminator apothecaries and they are the GKs
i've seen Deathwing apothecaries too
i made it a generalist model without any Chapter markings anyway, so you can use it with whatever Chapter you want. same goes for the Techmarine and Chaplain Terminators, although i'll probably make Chaplain Termies for the nine First Founding Chapters. currently working on the last Terminator specialist, the Librarian.
anyway, here's something i did with the drop pod. Relic's original model was a tad small and only had space and harnesses for five Marines, so i doubled that and now it can carry a full squad

i'll give the interior a higher resolution texture later
Haven't been in this thread for a long time, so I have a few questions.
Have the classic Noise Marines been done? And anyone doing Tau?

So far Joazzz is mostly working on the Space marines, with a little bit of Chaos here and there.
For the Tau, nobody has done anything for them yet.
