1st and 10th of any chapter tend to be shiny, unless they're Wolves or Crimson Fists.

O_0 How do you make pictures like that man?! That is AWESOME!
O_0 How do you make pictures like that man?! That is AWESOME!
years of experience with GMod and open source photo manipulation tools
Question though, are the backpacks usually that low behind the head?
at least on the Space Marine game models, yeah the camera angle is also a bit tilted

I just grimdarked all over the place, I must, NAY, need these in my life. Heresy skins here I come.
In the grimdarkness of the grim and dark future, there is only grimdarkness? Yes, no, maybe? :3?
Awhile back I was working on some death korps of krieg models, I didn't get very far and got bored with it, but I have all the DKOK Infantry out of DOW2 with bones and rigging intact if any of you want to pick up the project for me.
Would love to see this done...
Another question if anyone knows: Can the Maximus pattern chest plate be used with a robe? For my SM suit, I made a Maximus chest plate, which has that extra armor bit where most armor patterns have the curve allowing more mobility and giving space for the SM belt. I'm making a robe for the suit as well, trying to be lore-friendly for the DA, and a rope is supposed to be used to hold the robe in place(duh), BUT, I'm afraid the chest plate's extra armor section may obstruct one the use of a belt or rope... Anyone know what I'm talking about?
1st and 10th of any chapter tend to be shiny, unless they're Wolves or Crimson Fists.
Or Dark Angels, the entire 1st company Deathwing are Terminators and bone white, then you got the 2nd company the Ravenwing who still wear the pre-heresy black armour.
i went to lexicanum to look for pre-heresy color schemes, ended up reading about ork bioniks and trygons it's like fucking tvtropes
well i decided to test how skinning with the help of my templates would work looks p. swell i say oh and idaeus iii you were right, while the standard backpack is just fine, the heresy-style backpack is too low and a bit too small. i'm gonna fix that

Joazzz you bloody teaser you. Also how many pre-heresy bolters you made? Cause in the horus heresy artbook, many of the bolters have the bolter mag further up the body of the gun?
it might take yet another week, but they're pretty close to done
Joazzz, may I ask what photo manipulation tool(s) you used?
I think he uses Gimp. So do I.
well i decided to test how skinning with the help of my templates would work [img_thumb]http://www.leet.cc/1ksons.jpg[/img_thumb]
Oh and Joazzz I notice that these marines seem to be pre-heresy Thousand Sons. I think their armour trimming should be silver?
Ah. I see, then I guess I'll make it shine, since I'm doing Dark Angels.... I hope I'm not wrong on that ;_; http://www.goodwp.com/large/201104/17015.jpg
i've pretty sure that picture is in the nids white dwarf i have from 2003 or something. GW tends to reuse things.
yes i use gimp
I think their armour trimming should be silver?
shoulderpad bodygroups the Heresy backpack also has silver detail. most of the google results depict them with golden trim however and i wasn't sure what i should go with so i mixed it up needs more loincloth tho, might add that as a bodygroup for the base marine
yes i use gimp shoulderpad bodygroups the Heresy backpack also has silver detail. most of the google results depict them with golden trim however and i wasn't sure what i should go with so i mixed it up needs more loincloth tho, might add that as a bodygroup for the base marine
Yeah, I've seen many pictures with gold, white and silver trims, I think it was Magnus the Reds honor guard who wore gold trims, Arumans librarian s wore silver(then went with gold shortly before Leman Russ came to Prospero and kicked their butts) and regular marines had the white.
Hey, I know I asked this before but can someone do some grey knights skins, sorry I just LOVE the grey knights, just LOVE them. They are one of my diehard favorites
Hey, I know I asked this before but can someone do some grey knights skins, sorry I just LOVE the grey knights, just LOVE them. They are one of my diehard favorites
Read some posts a bit further back.
I know he just said "someone just port the faggots I am SO doing this" and no one has yet
I know he just said "someone just port the faggots I am SO doing this" and no one has yet
Do you realise that some of us have lives outside facepunch? Look, you have Wraithcat, Joazzz and myself and multiple others working on these models, skins etc. Just be patient, I'm sure someone will get round to it, these things take time. Plus your asking for skins? You do relise someone would have to heavily modify the space marine/terminator models to get the specific look correct. That would take awhile, but I would be happy to do the skins for them but on a regular marine they would look weird to me.
