You may want to consider using the [.thumb][./thumb] tags, dude.
i don't really care for the rest of the armors since they're just low-res RTS stuff, but the robes, helmets and some of the chapter-specific (especially Grey Knight) parts could come in handy
I really, really need these in a format for Cinema 4D. I pm'ed the original poster asking for help but if anyone knows of some models in .c4d or similar (or could make them somehow) that would be extremely helpful to me. I cannot rip them myself because i'm running win8 64bit and the 3d ripper will not work with that OS.
Thanks guys

We're not ripping anything. But using community made tools (mostly for 3dsmax)
[QUOTE=Idaeus III;41934135]SWEEEEET. Can't wait for those. Would love to mix in some Unforgiven Successor marines with my pictures. :3 Would be awesome if someone would and/or could make robes for the models, but until then, I will be content with what is available. ^___^
Just keep doing what you guys do best, and eventually, people will be making gmod/source filmmaker pics like this:

.....Ok, maybe not EXACTLY like that, but you get my point.[/QUOTE]
Eurgh, the material renderer on that picture makes me want to inwardly throw up. Looks like the worst result of poser.

[QUOTE=wraithcat;41940062]Eurgh, the material renderer on that picture makes me want to inwardly throw up. Looks like the worst result of poser.[/QUOTE]
Well, i'm sorry. I was in a rush, I searched "Warhammer 40k" in Google and just chose the first picture I could find that would get my point across, and plus, the rendering doesn't really effect me. As for the [.thumb],
i've never heard of that.
[B]I am NOT an expert with this stuff, guys. I didn't know what "[.thumb]" meant and I still don't, and photo rendering is out of my control.
Give me a break here.[/B] :suicide:
Also, [.thumb][./thumb] Doesn't appear to do anything. Where exactly would I put this?
take the . out
[QUOTE=Idaeus III;41943347] I didn't know what "[.thumb]" meant and I still don't[/QUOTE]
The [noparse][thumb][/noparse] tag is an alternative image tag that reduces the currently viewed size of an image so that it doesn't take up a bunch of space. When someone tells you to "thumb" an image, they're usually telling you that the image itself is extremely large. The [noparse][thumb][/thumb][/noparse] tags are meant to help reduce the overall size of the image that everyone sees in the post while also providing an external link to the full-size image.
[QUOTE=Idaeus III;41943347]Also, [.thumb][./thumb] Doesn't appear to do anything. Where exactly would I put this?[/QUOTE]
You place the [noparse][thumb][/noparse] tag at the beginning of the link, and the [noparse][/thumb][/noparse] tag at the end of the link ([noparse][thumb]http://blahlinkhere.com/image.jpg[/thumb][/noparse]).
Using an unrelated screenshot as an example, here's something with just the image tag alone:
[IMG]http://imageshack.us/a/img201/8998/clawrs.jpg[/IMG]
And here's something with the thumb tag instead:
[thumb]http://imageshack.us/a/img201/8998/clawrs.jpg[/thumb]

If you are explaining bbcode do at least the favour of using the [noparse][noparse][/noparse][/noparse] tags to not have to explain people what to remove or unremove.
[noparse][t]http://media.moddb.com/images/groups/1/3/2055/Until_The_Day_We_Die_by_Destr3ga.1.jpg[/t][/noparse] for instance
@gumnade - can't respond to your pm if you have your PMs disabled. FOr the record why don't you just decompile the mdoels and use some SMD importer for C4d.

Thanks , I didnt realize I had to activate them, I have been trying to decompile them with cannonfodder's program but I get the gameinfo.txt is missing even though i can see it there! I am trying my best. If I get there I will of course share them on here, hopefully fully rigged.

You really don't have to post the SMDs here....
Eitherway, if you want to extract them directly out of the game (spacemarine) you are going to need 3dsmax and a bunch of tools which you can find over at relicnews.
This may be a bit of a silly question, but is the DOW2 Genestealer not included with the necrobard set? If not, does anyone have it uploaded somewhere? I'd like to do some space hulk related images and art with SFM. I'd greatly appreciate it.

I believe it is, yes. This also might not be the best thread to ask, although I can understand why you would. Especially since necrobard hasn't been on since last year...

Ah, my apologies if I posted this question in the wrong area.
However, the GS does not appear to be in that pack. At least, if it is it's not named "Genestealer."
Thank you for a response, though. :)
i should be getting a new (incredibly outdated) PC next week, let's see if it can handle Source (probably not) so i can finish my part of this project
So is anyone having any success with using these in sfm?

You'd have to animate in FK because the skeletons are not IK compatible. Other than that, they work pretty well.
i got GMod working - no dynamic lighting tho - and decided to take this shot

the first in-game shot of the new terminator i believe. i think i got the armor size and proportions right (arms could be a bit thicker i guess)

If you guys are going to use the dow2 stuff please make sure the normal's aren't inverted this time around.
It's the sole reason the existing dow2 ports look terrible (aside from rimlighting.)
i haven't seen anything wrong with the normals yet, i'll have to take a closer look i guess

Wow man, that is sweet! The ONLY(lore-related) thing I can complain about is the Terminator's shoulders. If i'm not mistaken, I believe they weren't the round, shoulder-fitting pads they are now.

Still awesome though. Glad to see the Maximus helm in action too. :3
[B]Edit[/B]
Oh yea, and I do believe the arm plates could be a bit thicker I guess. Still looks good though.

Sweet mother of the Emperor.
Any body groups for a power fist and/or lightning claws?
the power fist is a separate fingerposable prop that i'm planning to bodygroup with lightning claw (both the modern claws and Heresy-style talons) and chainblade attachments. maybe bolter too for when you need extra dakka
and yea i'm going to add the shoulder plates and other additional trinkets as bodygroups, and also make the arms thicker. maybe some external power cables too, what with the power weapons and autocannons and whatnot always seeming to take power from the armor's reactor
[editline]9th September 2013[/editline]
the Tartaros pattern armor is my favorite so i'll try to emulate that too

o.o That looks nice. What website is that model from? Forgeworld?
yep
also, i've got a bad case of broken computer so progress at my end's halted again
Just a question here.
I DL'd Space Marine (After Buying if for 6$ yipee) I'm busy working on a lot of Starcraft II stuff, but had planned on trying to do Space Marine shtuff as well. So, if someone could give me a link to how to extract or see the archives or if there's some special way of opening the models? that'd be awesome, might be able to help.
so any updates on this? I was wondering where you got the lasguns from this [IMG]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/6252145/misc ports/spacemarine rel pictures/guardsmen.png[/IMG]
picture from. Also the map it's taken on.

Most of the necessary tools are on relicnews in the modding section. An archive unpacker and model importer for 3dsmax.
So Wraithcat probably already knows but for the rest of yah. I am currently trying my hand at re-rigging the skeletons for the Imperial guardsmen and Cultist. I have no real previous experience doing this but loads of free time to learn. I'll post any results I end up with. Also, I'll do the spacemarines afterwards if they need to be done.

Valve Biped so they can use npc animations.
Work proceeds slowly, blame Calculus 2.
