I'm curious as to what the next update will be. I see a ways back you posted images of cleaned-up SM models with head bodygroups. Just wondering if you are still tweaking them or if they are intended at all for a release.
since my PC blew up months ago i haven't been able to make any progress. the HDD is intact and functional though so when i have a new computer (don't ask when, only Tzeentch knows) i'll keep working on them i already have megalomaniacal plans for dreadnoughts, pre-heresy armor, traitor marines, terminators and basically everything imaginable
Any plans for a daemon hammer port?

Very useful. You want the SMOPPC(it has smopcc typo) to convert the game files into usable files for 3dsmax. The Scripts folder is where the 3dsmax scripts needed are located. [B]Step 1:[/B] smoppc.exe will convert all oppc files within the folder than you put the exe. If you only want the iron hands armor then copy the oppc for iron hands into a new folder and put the exe in there with it. It wont be labeled "iron hands" it will be labeled "dlc" so youll have to try them all to figure out wheich dlc set it is. example: "sm_armour_mp_dlc3_set1_helmet.oppc" [B]Step 2:[/B] run smoppc.exe [B]Step 3:[/B] put the scripts files into 3ds max scripts folder [B]Step 4:[/B] open up 3ds max and under the "utilities" (hammer symbol on far right) panel, scroll down to MAXscript and then utilities. let's get this shit back to the front page with a microscopic content bump [img]http://files.1337upload.net/Chaosconcept.jpg[/img] here's a bit of a cocktease that i drew today, essentially showing how i'm going to turn the loyalists into filthy heretics. everything you see here can be done through modelhacking and reskinning this dude will have all sorts of bodygroups for the armor, like the loyalist versions, including shoulders, helmet, backpack, torso and greaves. [B]AS A BONUS[/B] since this dude is chaotic as fuck, i'll add [B]spikes[/B] and [B]blobs of mutated flesh[/B] as [B]flexes that you can scale: one slider for general spikes all over the armor, sliders for shoulder spikes (probably several individual), backpack spike slider and sliders for arm, torso, head and leg mutations. this means that when i get to make Chaos Terminators i'll give those all the same shit, and by cranking the mutation blob sliders up to eleven and throwing in some creativity you can create OBLITERATORS HOWEVER the best thing is yet to come. since you can't find two identical Chaos guys, i'm going to take this variation shit even further in the most visible part of the marine: THE HEAD. HORNS, to be specific. you'll be able to change the size, curvature and angle (forwards and backwards and sideways) of the horns. ain't that something. i'm also going to add a crest holder like seen on this Black Legion guy here [t]http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110313100724/warhammer40k/images/2/28/BlackLegionArmour.jpg[/t] and add sliders for bending that thing left and right and up and down to not make it look stiff in pictures with lots of movement. EVERYTHING WILL HAVE ITS OWN SIZE SLIDER SO YOU CAN SHRINK THOSE BITCHES TO NOTHINGNESS IF YOU SO WISH. also, Terminators will get special horns and tusks, as they should.[/B] [B]BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE [t]http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2012/8/22/404565-Berserkers,%20Chaos,%20Chaos%20Space%20Marines,%20Khorne,%20Mutations,%20Possessed,%20Warhammer%2040,000.JPG[/t] [img]http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/3/25/92679_sm-Chaos%20Space%20Marines,%20Lord,%20Winged.JPG[/img] BAT WINGS, MASSIVE HANDS, TENTACLES, INTESTINES HANGING OUT. i have no fucking idea how, but i swear i'll include all sorts of mutations (some god-specific like claws for Khornates, some random) as ragdolls and props, with fingerposing where applicable and most likely a flex slider or two for awesome shape and size changing in the reskin/modelhack department, there will be five versions of the main marine model: one undivided with nothing special, and four versions with certain god-specific stuff (Khornate has chains and horns in the style of the Skull Rune plus muscle mutations, Nurglite is going to be a filthy fuck with guts and rotten flesh hanging out, Slaaneshi guy(?) gets... i'll keep it a surprise (hint: DigitalEro is going to love it), and the Tzeentch dude will be the most lovecraftian thing this side of the Eye of Terror. all these mutations will be customisable with the flex sliders.[/B] these special guys will also have their god's logos plastered around certain parts of their armor and some other features (Khorne dude gets BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, Nurgle lover is all rusty and so on). this also means that the devout followers of certain gods will have exclusive helmets so this is the kind of shit i'll work on [B]WHEN I GET A PROPER PC(even the Changer of Ways doesn't know when that is)[/B] [B]REMEMBER[/B] that first i'll finish the normal Marines, their Heresy-era and Great Crusade-era versions, plus [B]Thunder Warriors[/B] (Chaos will be done before Crusade Marines, that's for sure so don't worry) so now that i have your imagination running wild and mouths drooling on the floor, happy New Year 14.M3!
