Hey guys, just a little something I'm working on. This is a WIP for the first member of my "Cinematic Vehicles" series of models that I am going to be producing. My goal is to create more cinematic versions of the Dawn of War 2 vehicles, starting with the Chimera. Basically, this just means I'm going to fix any texture issues with models (for instance, the chimera turret lacking a bump map) and adding skingroups of animated tracks (Forward, fast forward, backward, fast backward). Each animated texture has an animated bump map, as you can see above. Next up is the Baneblade...stay tuned!

Sorry for the kind of crappy gif, by the way. I didn't want to create a massive file, so it doesn't loop perfectly. The actual tracks do loop perfectly, however.
The funny thing is the DOW2 Chimera already had a turret bumpmap, as can be seen in the vmt for the default grayscale skin (Straight from the SVN this is):

It was only the Cadian version that seemed to be missing the bumpmap, and only because the actual command line in the vmt for that seemed to be referencing a completely different directory (i.e. Models/dow2/chimera/shared_textures/)

the Gauss Blaster's barrel is WiP. i'm probably going to model the details over an energy tube instead of just doing a reskin like that. the dude's legs also need some work

yes i'll try to make lords etc eventually, if i find a way to do the cape. i can't add bones in Milkshape, because doing that fucks up the skeleton you see

Oh, so thats a lord? could you still make it anyway i'm sure someone else would be willing to rig it and i wouldn't mind having a look at the raw rather than having to extract it later.

There would probably be better content created if the models were easier to animate in SFM. Now I'm not complaining at all, but models with the valve skeleton and IK rigs are much easier to animate than ones without. Also the Ultramarines/Blood Ravens models aren't compatible so you cant create a running animation for one and then apply it to the other.
Just to be clear, though, im totally NOT complaining about it, just stating why theyre not used as widely as other models yet.
To the contributors though: keep up the great work!

Note: this will likely take a while. However, wraithcat is sending me the source files so I can take a look at them. No promises, but it will (hopefully) be for [i]all[/i] of the models.
