[QUOTE=Kartoffel;44671105]Not quite. Steel Legion are more akin to Fallschirmjager rather than Soviet soldiers. It'd be a combination of Fallschirmjager, some model with a knee high trench coat (because Steel Legion aren't as fabulous as Valhallans) and a gasmask.
The other issue with this is that the RO2 greatcoats have not been released, which also limits the Valhallans.[/QUOTE]
There's always the coat from robo Stalin.
For the fellow Valhallan bro's...
There was an update.

Any chance we might be seeing some Iron hands?.
now that we have the model from Space Marine, it's a possibility. however they're such a special chapter that it would probably have its own release, instead of being packed with the Marks I-VIII
What about the Thousand sons pre-heresy?
[t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/154883396/ThousandSonsPost-Heresy.jpg[/t]
Or is it only models availible from Space marine?
Heck even plague marines?.
well that pic's post-heresy
pre-heresy Legion reskins will be available for the older armor marks
there will be five separate packs of Chaos marines and several hexed traitor reskins for Legions, renegades and splinter factions alike:
generic Undivided (Night Lords, Iron Warriors, Black Legion, Word Bearers, Red Corsairs, [del]Alpha Legion[/del] nothing to see here)
bloated Nurgle worshippers (Death Guard, the Purge, the Tainted, Apostles of Contagion)
bloodied Khorne followers (World Eaters, The Sanctified, Skulltakers, Berserkers of Skalathrax)
eldritch Tzeentch pawns (Thousand Sons, Oracles of Change, The Scourged)
sickening Slaanesh servants (Emperor's Children, Violators, Angels of Ecstacy, The Flawless Host)
i'll also include appropriate mutations like tentacles, claws and that sort of stuff as separate props and ragdolls
the flawless host always sounded like a screamo band to me
well is there really any difference
Sorry for being late, but the titan models are from that space marines game right?
the second biggest one is
[QUOTE=Ignhelper;44710543]Sorry for being late, but the titan models are from that space marines game right?[/QUOTE]
The two smallest are from the Dawn of War mod Ultimate Apocalypse, though the second one has been somewhat modified. The third is from Space Marine, and the fourth was Joazzz entirely.
Hope that helps you.

I went ahead and recompiled the greatcoat model. I've started trying to do some skins on my own, but some help would be appreciated.
I'm gonna do multiple skins using this
[t]http://www.coolminiornot.com/pics/pics11/img45d6266d7c856.jpg[/t]
and this as reference (but perhaps with red trimmings. I'll probably end up trying both)
[t]http://rocketshipgames.com/blogs/tjkopena/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/valhallans.jpg[/t]
If anyone has any ideas of what to do for facemasks of any kind (like shown in the second picture) let me know. Or if anyone wants to help out with skinning, that would be even more appreciated because my skins usually don't turn out great.

Haven't done the hat because the textures for the hats in the pack seem to be spread around on other texture sheets, and I can't find which ones affect which hat just yet.
Huh, I was actually going to take a whack at these. :v:
I was thinking about putting them on Valve biped, adding 2 shittons of bodygroups, multiple skins, and giving them BMS heads, the heads they already have, and citizen heads.

You take it then. Because I wouldn't be doing even half of those things :V

I was thinking about adding these skins as well.
[editline]3rd May 2014[/editline]
Aw, you broke muh merge. Anyways, I don't want to work on this by myself because I'm a lazy shit. :v:
Anybody going to try to do some Steel Legion, though? :v:
Possibly.
[editline]3rd May 2014[/editline]
If someone could point me at some Falschirmjager, I could take a whack at them.
[editline]3rd May 2014[/editline]
Actually, I think I found some things. Now I just need a good gas mask.

Anyone remember the model in the middle?
[t]http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/8611/33601067.png[/t]
Or the guy on the left in this one?
Really, at this point it's just the gasmask.
The NecrovisioN pack had a WW1 german gas mask, would that suffice?
Steel Legion gas masks have a wide horizontal visor/goggles though so it might need some extra tinkering
we're also going to need the 'Darth Vader' mask for sergeants or commissars or somesuch
[img]http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110804011302/warhammer40k/images/d/dd/Armageddon_Steel_Legion-Colonel_Krone.jpg[/img]
:v:
So are we getting Krieg, Armageddon and Valhallan guards straight away? That is awesome.

i think i'd suggest reskinning the [URL="http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=228134120"]Hanse Soldier's[/URL] mask for the regular one. you might want to hack off the filters idk
we could also take some simpler soviet/ww2 gasmask and slap some goggles model on it
or just model the visor thing, wouldn't be hard
Something I'd like to point out: with the exception of the officers, Steel Legion masks are only half masks. They cover up the nose and the mouth. The Steel Legion guardsmen wear goggles that they can pull up onto their helmets, exposing their eyes. Unlike the Death Korps, Steel Legion do not wear their masks all the time.
goggles it is then
also i took a little break from the Titan and decided to make some progress on other things
[img]http://files.1337upload.net/mk2stuff-6821ff.png[/img]
Oh yeah I forgot the Death Korps. *blam*
We should have some of them too :v:
Someone was working on some, although I guess they stopped for whatever reason.
[editline]4th May 2014[/editline]
If I were to reinstall DoW2, I could probably extract them pretty easily.
[editline]4th May 2014[/editline]
Gentlemen, I think we found our Steel Legion masks.
[t]http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111020173316/d__/dow/images/6/68/Dow2r_death_korps_dlc_03.jpg[/t]
me and Kartoffel were discussing the Guard yesterday and i came up with something
[img]http://files.1337upload.net/conceptpiece-199388.jpg[/img]
the head could be done by modifying Hans Grosse from Wolfenstein 2009
the coat i could model myself
the rest of the body could be salvaged from models we already have
I could probably give that FACS if you need faceposing on it when the time comes
that would be amazing
i'll get to making mr. Creed when i'm done with the MK2 armor
[editline]5th May 2014[/editline]
also, the head is fairly low-poly. that a huge problem?
